The ANY.RUN sandbox has been a really disappointing experience, despite my initial excitement about using it for malware analysis. Most of the time, the platform is extremely slow, which annoys me so much, it seems too advanced and it’s so hard to complete even simple analysis tasks before the session time expires. That is crazy because, although the features seem promising on paper, they are actually a significant disadvantage for the virtual machine. Not only, the free version has significant file-size restrictions, making it difficult to see an actual good analysis. You had to pay a premium price for necessary features and newer Windows OS versions, which is excessive given the performance problems. There is so much subscriptions out there now, it’s really bad….:////// Additionally, customer service has not been helpful at all Because most of the time, they are extremely slow, and I can’t do anything.
