Very Slow Dispatch + Unreliable Evri Courier

My order from Arket was delayed, which I could accept given the New Year period. Other retailers managed to ship without issues, but I gave Arket the benefit of the doubt. Then I saw Evri was the courier. My heart sank. As expected, the parcel missed the estimated delivery date of 7th January. It was marked “out for delivery” on the 8th, only for me to receive an apology later that day saying the driver wouldn’t make it. It’s now 12th January and the tracking has shown no updates for four full days. I called Arket and they’ve confirmed the order is probably lost and will process a refund, which I appreciate. Unfortunately it’s freezing cold and I still don’t have the winter coat I ordered. The whole experience was frustrating and a complete waste of time. Arket’s shipping is very slow, and using Evri as their courier makes it even worse. Until they switch to a more reliable delivery service, I would strongly recommend shopping in-store or choosing another retailer that stocks their items.

Sustainability is just a marketing message

I’m disappointed with how ARKET handles sustainability in practice. When I asked whether a discount could still be applied shortly after placing my order, I was told this wasn’t possible and that I should return the order and place a new one instead. This approach creates unnecessary transport, extra packaging, and additional CO₂ emissions — exactly what you would not expect from a brand that strongly promotes sustainability. It feels contradictory and, frankly, misleading to consumers who choose ARKET based on these values. This was a simple administrative issue, yet the solution offered was one that increases environmental impact. For me, this shows that sustainability is more of a marketing message than a principle applied when it truly matters.

They NEVER ship on time

They NEVER ship on time, things are always delayed by at least multiple days with 0 explanation - that’s if they don’t just lose the package. Customer service is effectively useless unless you press and press for even a basic answer on where your package is (but they have 0 clue about what’s going on). Don’t waste your time.

They know they have defective jumpers on the selling racks but don't point out defects

Yesterday lunchtime Arket in Covent garden had only 2 pink cashmere jumpers on sale. Looking carefully I could see a small hole starting to run in the middle of each jumper's sleeve. When pointed out to assistant she said the counter would give a further 10% off! My reply was that I had pointed it out so they could be withdrawn from sale or the (irrepairable and increasing) damage clearly identified up front. The girl gave just a smile and went to serve at the counter in response. Be aware!
