I was skeptical about ordering from this store because of the 1.5 star rating. I decided to go through with it because they have great sales and if anything went wrong i could just dispute with my credit card company. I dont know what all the bad reviews are for but it was fast delivery and my order wasnt cancelled.
Missing $700 Car Seat Somehow Became My Problem
I ordered a Nuna car seat that was supposed to arrive September 18. As of September 25, USPS still shows "Awaiting Item" and states that they have never received the package. I contacted Bloomindale because I actually wanted a replacement, not a refund. Instead, I was told a reshipment wasn't possible, then received an automated email saying my refund request was denied with NO explanation. After contacting them AGAIN and calling customer service, nobody can tell me where the physical package was or why my request was denied. Now I have to wait another 3-5 business days for yet another specialist. Shipping problems happen. What's unacceptable is making the customer deal with multiple departments just to resolve a package that the CARRIER SAYS it NEVER EVEN RECEIVED. This experience made me understand why people value Nordstrom's customer service so much. I know where my family and I will be shopping going forward. Nordstrom, you can have our money

I purchased a Kurt Geiger from Bloomingdale’s this year not even a year yet. Now it’s ripping in the inside and I called them they told me to KG and KG told me to call BD so now I’m out of money and a purse 😩
Absolutely terrible fulfillment and…
Absolutely terrible fulfillment and inventory control. I ordered 8 sets of silverware from Bloomingdale’s, all shown as being in stock. Only 5 of the 8 were correct. I contacted customer service and was told there were only 2 sets left, so I ordered those immediately in an attempt to complete the set. Somehow, Bloomingdale’s managed to get that order wrong too: only ONE of the two was correct. So after ordering 10 sets to get the 8 matching sets Bloomingdale’s claimed were available, I still only have 6. Now, if I want to complete the set I originally ordered, I’ll have to spend approximately $90 more buying the remaining pieces elsewhere — assuming I can even find them. And the inconvenience doesn’t end there. The incorrect merchandise was sent in three separate packages, so I now have to deal with THREE separate returns and THREE separate return authorizations. This wasn’t one simple shipping mistake. Bloomingdale’s repeatedly showed merchandise as available, repeatedly sent the wrong items, and then left me with the cost, inconvenience, and wasted time of fixing their mistakes. What makes it worse is that customer service offered no meaningful solution or gesture to make up for the mess. For a retailer that presents itself as a premium department store, this level of inventory control and order fulfillment is unacceptable. There are far too many retailers that can accurately fulfill an online order without turning it into a project for the customer. I won’t shop at Bloomingdale’s again.
