Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience I recently signed up to this recruitment/event company’s platform and completed all the necessary profile details. Not long after, I received a call—but the experience that followed was shockingly poor. The caller didn’t introduce herself, was abrupt, and her questions were disjointed, unclear, and frankly unprofessional. It quickly became evident that she lacked both the communication skills and the qualifications expected of someone in a recruitment or client-facing role. Her tone was condescending and far from the welcoming, engaging approach you’d expect in the events industry. I politely asked where she was calling from and her name, and she responded dismissively, saying, “You’re the one applying for the job, not me.” She ended the call abruptly. I’ve worked with other event recruitment companies before, and this was the first time I encountered such an unprofessional and unfriendly approach. To top it off, I received a very brief, impersonal rejection email—followed by a strange message claiming they only accept 70% of applicants, which felt disingenuous given the lack of depth in their questioning. A few hours later, I even received a suspicious text asking for payment to access an event agency. It raises serious concerns about how applicants’ data is handled. In short: disorganized, unprofessional, and not reflective of the events industry standard. I do not recommend working with this company.
