I had a frustrating experience in one of the NYC stores which culminated in me having to email Buck masons CS team. Romeo complete turned my experience around from awful, to some of the best customer experience I’ve had. He went above and beyond to make it right, even though I’m based in the UK. He was amazing and a great asset to the Buck Mason team.
AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE
I'll be honest, I came into this frustrated. My email had gone unanswered, and I spent about 20 minutes on hold, so I was already pretty irritated by the time someone picked up. But the agent who answered could not have handled it better. They apologized, explained that their team has been completely slammed with a big increase in orders lately, and actually took the time to walk me through everything instead of just brushing me off. You can tell they're working hard to keep up with their growth, and honestly, it's nice to see a company get popular and still care this much about the people buying from them. On top of that, they made things right for the trouble, and then some, without me having to push for it at all. No runaround, no fighting, no fine print. I've dealt with a lot of customer service teams over the years, and this was probably the best experience I've ever had. If you're on the fence about ordering from Buck Mason, don't be. The clothes are great, and if anything ever goes wrong, they'll actually take care of you. That's rare these days.

I’m not really sure what all the bad reviews are about. I ordered June 27th on a Saturday, they created the label and packed my order at 6:55am on the 29th, so it really took no time at all for processing, and I received the package July 2nd. I think the shipping was great. The t-shirts are both the best fitting tees I’ve ever owned. The Yuma cotton/hemp classic tee is a bit slimmer than the Toughknit tubular I got, but the Yuma is made in Vietnam so more variance on sizing is expected. The Toughknit tubular tee was 88 for 2 100% cotton tees with US grown cotton knit in PA and sewn in CA. Two 100% US made tees that actually feel and look great for 44/ea is a great deal imo. I don’t think it’s fair to rate them so poorly for bad customer service when the products are so good, especially considering most purchases are made online without interacting with cust service.

My go-to for men’s clothing gifts! Their quality is exceptional and their styles are timeless. The sizing is realistic and they also accommodate taller/longer body types. I hope they continue to expand their women’s line. Aside from online ordering, I’ve also had the pleasure of going to one of their stores in Atlanta once and the solo employee there was super accommodating and kind. I had some questions about fit and fabric and she gave me her business card so I could get in touch with her directly with any questions. She was so helpful in finding the right shirt and size that was needed. Lovely brand! Very impressed from product quality, to customer service, down to the admiration for their marketing and style.
What to know about Buck Mason
I am a pretty avid consumer who buys a lot of quality clothes online. I wear a classic fit large button down shirt and have an arsenal full of them from various quality companies, i.e. Billy Reid, Flint and Tinder, Flaherty, Banana Republic, etc. I just purchased my first button down from Buck Mason for nearly $200.00, and while the material quality was excellent and I liked the design, the fit was WAY too small for me, which makes no sense, as I buy clothes online all the time and every classic fit large fits me. Their sizing was way off. I looked it up online then and saw quite a few reviews saying the same thing. I went directly to their customer service about it and, while the person responding was courteous in their response, they also had a very dismissive attitude about the sizing saying, "not every item is for everyone." That was unfortunate. No customer service should be that way when a customer is telling them there is a sizing problem. I have well over 70 quality shirts in my closet, all the same exact size, and they all fit fine. This was was too small to even close properly and they were not attentive to it. I don't recommend this company right now.
