I have prescription insurance through my home pharmacy in Pittsburgh, where my 90-day prescription is fully covered at no cost. Since I was traveling in Orlando and returning home the next day, I only needed a few pills to get me through until I got back. CVS charged me $14 for just 4 pills, while offering the full 90-day supply for $36. There was no flexibility, no understanding, and no effort to help a customer in a simple situation. I didn't need a 90-day supply—I just needed a few pills until I could pick up my fully covered prescription back home. The issue isn't the $14. It's the lack of compassion and customer service. Other pharmacies often make a reasonable effort to help customers in situations like this. Unfortunately, this CVS chose not to. Very disappointing experience. I expected much better from a national pharmacy chain.

I went to cvs 901 e pioneer parkway to purchase benadryl and it was a horrific experience the cashier who happens to be asian verbally abused me and the manager I came to counter and said gm she refused to acknowledge me I placed the benadryl on counter and begin to open my cvs app to look for coupons she was just screaming at me I said calm down whats wrong I don’t understand Im trying open my app to see if I coupons why are you being rude why are people so rude next thing I knew she was calling the manager we won’t have you racist people code for black people as I am telling the manager he tells I can’t believe she would attack you so I am lying immediately she flipped the script said I was racist and kept repeating we won’t have you people here he said I knew it was more to story I said let’s look at video we don’t have no video so how do I file a complaint I wasn’t the only person in store it was a hispanic guy in store she turned her attention to him he was disqusted at the way she was talking him he left the counter. The manager kept saying yea we won’t have u racist here code black people here it’s disheartening and sad this is where or country we don’t feel safe anymore just to go store and purchase medicine for emergencies. I started reading reviews and employees and customers have reported the racism they have experienced at cvs they even have settlements with eeoc against recently called police on black man about coupons shame on them. I can’t believe this is where we are please be careful and video evidence as proof shame on cvs
