Cyberscout: The $6.7M Secret Weapon
How a 51-person finance firm dominates cyber insurance with 86% direct traffic
In the shadowy world of cyber insurance, Cyberscout isn't just another player—it's the quiet giant that 125,000 monthly visitors seek out directly. With just 51 employees generating $6.7M in revenue, this isn't a startup gamble; it's a precision-engineered machine that bypasses the chaos of organic search entirely.
"When 86% of your traffic comes directly to you, you're not marketing—you're commanding a captive audience."
The Unlikely Empire Builders
Jeremy Barnett, Matthew Cullina, and Caleb VanSteenwyk aren't chasing venture capital or viral growth. They're building a fortress where finance professionals and insurance brokers come knocking. The 2.4/5 Trustpilot rating with just 7 reviews reveals a brutal truth: Cyberscout serves a niche so specific that mainstream sentiment doesn't matter. They're not selling to everyone—they're the trusted backend for BFS (Banking, Financial Services) cyber activation.
The Direct Traffic Monopoly
While competitors fight for SEO scraps, Cyberscout owns the destination. With only 8% organic search traffic, they've weaponized brand recall. The top keywords—'cyberscout,' 'bfs cyberscout,' 'https //bfs.cyberscout/activate'—aren't accidental. They're the digital breadcrumbs left by professionals who already know where to go. This isn't growth hacking; it's a closed-loop ecosystem where clients bypass search engines entirely.
The tech stack detection failure is telling. Zero technologies detected means either extreme stealth or a legacy infrastructure that doesn't broadcast its secrets. In finance, that's not a bug—it's a feature. When you're handling cyber insurance claims, the last thing you want is a flashy tech stack that attracts attention.
- 86% direct traffic = brand authority that money can't buy
- 51 employees generating $131K revenue per person = hyper-efficient operations
- Niche dominance in BFS cyber activation = defensible market position
- Minimal Trustpilot footprint = serving insiders, not consumers
The Invisible Giant Strategy
Cyberscout proves that in B2B finance, being quietly indispensable beats being loudly popular. Their 86% direct traffic isn't a metric—it's a moat.

I had a problem and sent an earlier review but I solved the problem by using the correct device , which is yet another good security feature
Terrible tech.
Couldn’t access. Tried changing my password. Message came back with insufficient info to process. Tried this several times even with phone support. Nothing worked. Kept telling me insufficient information. Even after reinputting everything. Support started questioning my browsers. Told them I tried with different browsers. Then questioned my computers. I said if it doesn’t work across browsers or computers, I wanted out. Requested all my data to be deleted from their system and to close my account. Let’s see how that goes.
Never press the consent button
I was offered this service through my employer. I signed up but when I logged in it asked me if I consent to my credit data being accessed and monitored by them and a host of other entities including third parties. I have never pressed that consent button and never will. Someone else said they are selling our data, and I agree that’s probably what they will do. Crikey, can’t these companies have integrity and actually protect us rather than use us.
Shitty service, shitty processes to delete my info
I didn't like the service from the moment I started using it. I've since requested my data to be deleted from their system (following GDPR in Europe) and, instead of deleting, they are restricting selling the data and only provide a US phone number to contact their parent owning company so that my data is deleted.
Non-existent customer service
The customer service doesn't answer. Once my free period ends I won't pay for this "service" for sure. I don't understand why would anyone.
