An excellent free tool to track spending. I started using Goodbudget a couple of years ago as a way to keep track of my day-to-day spending, so that I could stick to a monthly budget. It's become a really useful tool that I open almost every day. Knowing how much I'm spending really helps me not to overspend and to make sure I put money aside for savings and investing. I only wish there was a gradual payment option - for example, I have envelopes for Saving, Investing and Rent, all of which are emptied on the first day of every month - this makes it look like I've overspent when I review the monthly budget, but in fact I haven't. It would be cool if I could either exclude these envelopes from the overall budget, or set up a way to have those payments considered incrementally each day without having to set up 30 separate payments for every envelope.
