I am a client of I-Med Claims for one year. I feel especially lucky to have such an impressive group to handle the billing for my physician practice. They are very knowledgeable and sometimes when I have a question, they have made a special effort to find experts to help solve my problems. I have no doubt that they work hard to collect on the difficult claims. I-Med Claims has in-house expertise in medical coding and billing. They always answer my questions and going over details with me no matter how often I call. I hope to continue my relationship with I-Med Claims for the lifetime of my practice.
Out sourced, 80% denial rate of claims % expensive too
It started off I think well, some older claims got paid. But behind the scenes is really an outsourced company to India with unjustified adjustments, delayed resubmittals and in the the end 80% of claims denied and finally 40% of the payments went to the cost of billings so I was getting just over $1500 month, not even nearly enough to pay the rent. Too many errors, delays, and unjustified write offs, I can't afford to stay with them.
We have never done medical billing…
We have never done medical billing before and that was made very clear up front, prior to our contracting with this company. They promised us they would help us with the billing and codes and everything. We were told to fraudulently change diagnostic codes, told to bill under occupational therapy when we are not occupational therapists, and have been denied over $62,000 worth of claims. Now we are close to being shut down and they just take their money and don't care and did NOT help in any way with helping us figure out how to do this. Hopefully someone else can help us recover these funds. If you don't have a professional medical billing person then DO NOT HIRE THIS CRAP COMPANY!!!
