Two units cracked during normal use and IQAir acknowledged it but still did nothing
We purchased three IQAir HealthPro units for our home and expected premium performance from a company that markets itself as “hospital grade” and “Swiss engineered.” What we did not expect was that two of the units would suffer structural failure during normal filter replacement and that IQAir would refuse to resolve the issue despite over 15 emails and full documentation. Here are the facts of what happened: 1. During routine filter changes exactly as instructed in IQAir’s manual, the corner posts and lower housing on two units cracked and separated. This was not cosmetic damage. The frame lost integrity and the units became unsafe to move or operate normally. 2. We sent IQAir full documentation including high resolution photos and video. In IQAir’s own written response, they acknowledged that: • The damage “does not appear to be caused by excessive force or user damage.” • The units were “not safe to transport in their current condition.” • The condition shown “constitutes structural failure.” These are their words, not ours. 3. Despite that written acknowledgement, IQAir repeatedly refused to escalate the case and instead kept looping us back into generic repair scripts that do not apply to structurally compromised units. We requested a supervisor multiple times and were ignored or rerouted to the same department. 4. The structural failure happened inside our home, where we rely on clean air due to health sensitivities. Instead of urgency or accountability, we received delays, misdirection, and contradictory replies. 5. After providing every piece of evidence requested, IQAir still refused to offer a meaningful resolution, replacement, or proper escalation. At this point, the experience has been unacceptable for any family trying to maintain a safe living environment, let alone from a company selling itself as a premium health product. We expected reliability and integrity. Instead, we received structural failure under normal use, written admission of defect, and zero follow through. If you're considering IQAir for your home, especially if you have health concerns, I strongly advise reviewing other consumer reports and noting how they handle cases involving actual product failure. Premium price means nothing if the company refuses to stand behind its own hardware.
Technologically outdated devices made in China.
First of all, these are technologically outdated devices from a company that positions itself as Swiss, although it operates out of Germany, and the devices themselves are manufactured in China. Second, the quality of the device’s monitor corresponds to technology that is at least 15–20 years old. Third, there is absolutely no communication with customers. They never respond to any written inquiries and do not address any claims regarding device defects. In summary, you are purchasing an outdated piece of technology at a grossly inflated price, and if it fails at any point during its service life—including upon receipt—you will be left with nothing. That is, you will receive no assistance whatsoever, and the device can only be thrown away, as it will not be replaced under any circumstances. Conclusion: a big, emphatic DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Have been struggling with accessing my…
Have been struggling with accessing my account information on IQAir site for months specifically loyalty awards. Called today to address issue. I have been on the phone approximately around hour or more without any resolution. Told several times they can't really fix the issue, not sure what is wrong, supervisor not responding to Customer support person to assist. Suggested I try changing browsers and that was the best they could do. When I asked how they would follow up with me she said just try changing browsers. Well I did and guess what it didn't work. I would say for get their customer loyalty program or their ability to manage their own website. Up until this moment I was very impressed with this company. I own a GC series and it is a great product, but based on today if another company catches up, Im switching.
Faulty product, poor support
I purchased the AirVisual Pro Indoor Monitor in Feb 2025, and the AirVisual Outdoor Monitor shortly after. They both seemed to work fine for a few months. The Outdoor monitor started disconnecting randomly recently. I have to recycle the power to get it back online. I contacted support a few times and they said it sounds like a Wi-Fi issue. Once connected the Wi-Fi signal is strong at least 80-90%, plus other devices near it have no issue at all. So, my opinion the connection is fine. Support won't exchange it and told me to use a direct ethernet connection. That pretty much defeats the wireless purpose, correct?? I'm not pleased with IQAir support and definitely won't recommend this device and continue to use my AirGradient sensor instead.
Severe Data Failures and Unacceptable…
Severe Data Failures and Unacceptable Customer Service Since February 12, 2025, there have been repeated data failures from the manufacturer. Since then, my IQAir Outdoor device has stopped functioning properly. The particle count has been 100 to 200 times higher since that day. The measurements are no longer reliable. PM1, PM2.5, and PM10 have all increased at the same rate since that day, as has the particle count. This was not the case before. For me, it is clear that the device was rendered useless due to the server issues. Unfortunately, there is no information on the manufacturer's website, nor do they respond to support requests. Their support team completely ignores all incoming emails, whether you want to purchase something or need help with a problem. Paying €350 for such a catastrophic customer service experience and having the company force unreliable data onto my device, making it unusable, is absolutely unacceptable. Until this week, the device worked very reliably for months, but the manufacturer has now rendered it completely useless.
