I was recommended for Whitetail
I was recommended for Whitetail, hunting by one of their experts to buy proximity. I will give it that it was light weight, but it does not hold up to any briars. Needless to say the front of the pants tore up the bottom under my butt, probably from coming in and out of a ladder stand wore out showing nothing but the insulation probably a 2 inch hole. I wasn’t sure how they would handle it so I contacted customer service in hopes that they would help me get a more appropriate pair of kuiu pants. They denied my claim with no offer of any compensation of any kind, I probably would’ve bought a different pair of pants that would’ve held up better for my conditions which is Whitetail hunting. I will no longer be a customer of KUIU THE PRODUCT IS PRETTY GOOD. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE.
Great Material, Terrible Fit & Zero Help From Kuiu
I really wanted to love the Axis Hybrid Jacket — the materials and construction feel excellent — but the fit is honestly a deal breaker. The shoulders and arms are cut like a pair of women’s spandex leggings: skin-tight, restrictive, and totally out of proportion to the rest of the jacket. For a brand marketed toward active hunters and mountain athletes, the fit makes no sense. What makes it worse is Kuiu’s response. They clearly know there’s a sizing issue with this piece, but they refused to exchange or refund it. No flexibility, no acknowledgment — just “that’s the fit.” For a premium-priced “performance” brand, I expected better support and a product that actually allows movement. Disappointed overall.
Disappointing
After 25 years I figured it was time to upgrade my gear and decided on KUIU. Purchased several items including, the Guide Pro Hooded Jacket and Peloton 200 Zip-T. The cuffs on the Guide Pro are very narrow, and very difficult to get your hands out of. It is rated for 'cold' weather, which it certainly is not. At least not on it's own. The zippers on both products are vert delicate, like something you would expect on a fine blouse, not hunting gear. Also, it is very suspicious that you are not able to review the products on their website. They have several reviews, but where did they come from? Even as a verified purchaser, I am not able to leave a review.
Wanted to order clothing today cause…
Wanted to order clothing today cause KUIU announces a 40% rebate. When I reached the checkout, noticed regular delivery cost $30!! Outrageous !!!! That’s how they offset the 40% rebate! Bad marketing! Delivery compagnies like Canada Post, DHL, Puro and many others are very cheap. Rip off!! Careful folks!!
Customer service is abominable
Customer service is abominable. Ordered an xl for a Christmas gift and received a Large. Contacted the company and despite it being THEIR error, they required us to return the wrong item before they would send the correct one. I was a little put out but did it. Over three weeks later we received the replacement item. Still the wrong size. I called to speak to a “customer service” rep and was told that they hadn’t “opened an investigation” previously, as if that were my fault. I was told again that they would only replace it after we sent the wrong one back. So twice I have had to package up the item, drive to the UPS store, and wait for someone in their organization to approve a replacement item, despite it being all their fault. I have seldom dealt with a company that had such terrible customer service. We have been longtime customers but will never buy or recommend their products again.
