I'm in Australia and have been ordering Marley Spoon for years (with breaks here and there). Aside from their marketing tactics that stealthily inch up the price per portion (I will have a breaking point), the food quality is always great and the ingredients are accurately packed in separate brown bags for each meal. On the rare occasion when something is omitted, it's easy to reach a fair resolution. In terms of price, they have recently added a loyalty program which leads to receiving a discount every couple of months (better than nothing). I absolutely love the Asian dishes: stir fries, soups, dumplings, etc. They're quick to make and are packed with fresh vegetables such as bok choy, broccoli, wombok and ginger. I don't add anything chilli (peppers, flakes, powders) but work colleagues will happily take them off my hands. I always choose meals that have a variety of unique ingredients (e.g. sumac, miso paste, choy sum, pepitas), so I've had some incredible meals over the years - better than most Sydney restaurants in terms of flavour, portion size and meal quality.

We’ve been using Marley Spoon for quite a while and have been mostly very happy. Recently recipe choices haven’t been so interesting and ingredients of lower quality. Also packing of boxes is done with less care, ie ingredients appear thrown in last minute. It feels like there has been some changes made to save costs without consideration to customers.

Used to love Marley Spoon until…
Used to love Marley Spoon until recently - they have changed their packaging and recipe cards. Instead of having meals in separate identifiable bags, they have categorised ingredients for 'more efficient unpacking'. Ridiculous. Their recipe cards were fantastic - easy to follow with large pictures and corresponding steps. Everything is now smaller and harder to read, with pictures that don't line up with the steps. Having to hunt through the fridge and the pantry for that night's particular ingredients is annoying and time-consuming. I hope they change back.

I’ve been a Marley Spoon customer for a while, but unfortunately I’ve experienced repeated issues that have made the service increasingly frustrating. One problem is the delivery. Despite having a shaded front verandah that is easily accessible, my boxes have been left in direct sunlight on several occasions. My dog is securely kept in the backyard, and the front of my property is not fenced, so there is no reason the driver couldn’t leave the box on the shaded verandah. I’ve also had multiple deliveries where the main ingredient, such as the meat or fish, was missing. An automatic refund for the value of the missing item does not solve the problem. Without the main ingredient, I can’t prepare the meal at all. When I raised this concern, I was told they would not compensate me for my time, travel, or fuel costs. On one occasion, it took several back-and-forth emails before they finally offered additional compensation. I shouldn’t have to argue for fair compensation for a problem that wasn’t my fault especially when it has happened repeatedly. Mistakes can happen, but the repeated missing main ingredients, poor delivery practices, and impersonal customer service have been extremely disappointing. This isn’t just about the cost of the missing ingredient, it’s about being left unable to cook the meal I paid for, having my meal planning disrupted, and having to spend additional time and money fixing a problem that wasn’t my fault.

Edit: If a human bothered to read this review rather than copy pasting a bot response... I ALREADY attempted to contact you multiple times and got no response Most meals are bland, and the product is NEVER fresh. Often receive rotten produce, garlic that's grown legs etc. I always report these issues and get no response. Tried calling them, they just keep you on hold indefinitely until you give up. Also really bad for people with allergies or lactose intolerance, it seems there's no way to order food that has flavor and also allergy friendly.
