Refinanced with ME about 18 months ago, everything was going great, I was paying almost 300 extra per fortnight and to eat any rate increases that may happen, enter their new app, on numerous emails they said nothing would change, low and behold they reduced my repayments to minimum amount, finally sorted it out 8 weeks later, increased repayment amount to eat rate rises, after last rate increase they also increased my automatic repayments, no customer service and inflexible am now moving to another lender to refinance again
Unbelievably woeful
Unbelievably woeful. Impossible customer service - can not get a hold of anyone, no interfaces in web app, when you do get to speak to operator they do not action things. Pay off home loan in full and hold you to ransom on discharge. Do not honor there own internal timeline for discharging fully repaid mortgage, continue to withdraw from you savings account post completing home loan and even have the audacity to charge you interest on a fully repaid loan!!!! Then after this still want to charge you a early discharge fee. Rubbish organisation.
The worst
The worst, most stressful and distressing banking experience we have ever had. ME bank is barely a legitimate bank, and seeking resolution to ongoing problems is virtually impossible. Not worth the low rates/fees. Don’t do it to yourself!
Locked out of my online account
Locked out of my online account. unable to make transfers with the app so i have bill i cannot pay. Have been trying to contact them for 3 days. they leave me on hold until i get sick of waiting and hang up. it has been up to an hour. I have sent emails with no response. I cannot wait to be rid of them.
Is this legal
Is this legal? The only way to get a discharge authority form for refinancing is to call them. No email. No communication via app. But they don't pick up the phones. I contact them explaining I need another way of connecting and I'm told no, call. I can't escape...
