Don’t Trust Qunar’s Website Alone – Misleading Information
I want to share my experience with Qunar (去哪儿旅行) so others can be careful. As a non-native Chinese speaker, I was very careful when booking my flight, and I took screenshots of every step—from selecting the flight to the payment page. Everything clearly showed that my ticket included two pieces of checked baggage, 23kg each. After I completed the payment, I was shocked to see that my booking suddenly showed no free checked baggage. Qunar then asked me to pay extra for something that had already been promised. There was no warning or explanation. I contacted China Eastern Airlines directly. They confirmed that my ticket does include free checked luggage, and they also noticed that Qunar hadn’t added my original contact number to the booking, which could have caused serious problems at the airport. I have full screenshots as proof of what was promised before payment, and I am currently trying to resolve this with Qunar’s customer service. This experience was misleading and unfair. If you book through Qunar, double-check every detail and keep your own records—don’t rely only on what their website shows
How awful of booking from qunar
Be careful of booking a hotel from this website. I was taken the money yesterday and I should receive the confirmation letter yesterday, but I didn’t receive it. Also there is not any reservation information at all in my mailbox. I sent the email and called the company many times, but there was not any response
Partial refund after flight cancellation
My wife and I bought tickets from China to Italy through Qunar. The flight was cancelled by the airline because of the COVID-19 epidemic and Qunar only refunded a fraction of the original price. This is unacceptable. I will never again deal with this company.
Bought two tickets using qunar.com from…
Bought two tickets using qunar.com from Beijing to Moscow on the day of departure. When arrived to the airport, there was a note from the airline that no passengers except RF passport holders will be allowed for check-in. The airline (Ural air) airport representative said that airline has sent the note to all agents but qunar.com probably hasn't received it. After a day back and forth emailing, ural air sent an official letter stating that the agent should refund he full amount. On the other side, Qunar.com till now (8 day later) didn't say a word. Five hours of holding the line to reach their custimer service, emails, online support didn't results in anything. The probable answer would be the virus outbreak in mainland China, but the airline(ural air) worked towards the solution, and the agent clearly let us face the consequences of someone's irresponsible behavior on our own. Choose carefully.
