Laid off without prior notice or any…

Laid off without prior notice or any valid complaints I signed a six months contract with them stating I will get a guaranteed payment if they had no assignment for me which that was clearly communicated. So I was assigned to work at a particular location for the duration of the contract in which I did do everything within my powers to make sure I was a good worker . All of a sudden at about 2 weeks before my contract ended while I was looking for an opportunity to visit the office to ask for a fast contract, they called me on a Wednesday afternoon saying it was my last week working and they won’t be paying me any guarantee payment as on the contract. That alone slammed my brain into depression which I almost decided not to show up for work but based on the great working colleague where they sent me I had to go like nothing happened. All I want to tell this Ranstad is that, people are not supposed to be treated this way for we are all humans and everyone plans their lives. Even if you are supposed to lay someone off , do it in a very civilised manner. So I advise you reading this now to think twice before signing any contract with them because they might leave you in the middle of the ocean …….
