The Regional Mental Health Tech Stack
How a $70M NDIS provider is quietly dominating regional Queensland with data-driven care
While Sydney startups chase unicorn status, a $70M not-for-profit in regional Queensland is quietly building a mental health empire. Selectability isn't just another NDIS provider—they're a data-driven machine proving that mission and margins can coexist.
"Their secret weapon isn't a fancy algorithm—it's dominating the hyper-local search terms that big city competitors ignore."
The Long-Tail Monopoly
Selectability has cracked the code on regional NDIS searches. While competitors fight for broad terms like 'NDIS provider,' they're capturing 90 monthly searches for 'psychosocial support supervision queensland' and 130 for 'townsville support coordinators.' This isn't SEO—it's a geographic moat. They're not trying to rank nationally; they're building an unassailable position in every regional Queensland market they serve. The data shows 100% of traffic comes from Australia, with zero international dilution.
The Tech Stack Paradox
Here's what's fascinating: a 237-person nonprofit runs a stack that would make a Series A startup jealous. Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, DoubleClick Floodlight, and HubSpot—this isn't a charity website, it's a conversion funnel. They're spending serious money on paid acquisition (hence the 29% direct traffic), but they've optimized for the exact audience that matters. The 5,110 monthly visits are high-intent, local, and likely converting to actual service bookings.
The Trustpilot rating of 3.2/5 with just one review tells a story: Selectability isn't chasing online reviews. They're too busy delivering services in remote communities where digital feedback loops are weak. This is actually a competitive advantage—while others optimize for review velocity, they focus on real-world impact. Their social presence (YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram) is professional but not performative. This is a service organization that happens to use digital tools, not a digital-first brand.
- Hyper-local SEO dominance in regional Queensland
- Enterprise-grade marketing tech for a nonprofit
- Zero international traffic = zero competition
- Service delivery over online reputation
- Built for NDIS complexity, not startup scale
The Real Investment Thesis
Selectability proves that in healthcare, local dominance beats global scale every time. Their $70M revenue isn't a ceiling—it's a foundation for regional monopoly building.

SELECTABILITY CORPORATE OFFICE TOWNSVILLE, SELECTABILITY ONLY INTERESTED IN EXPANSION NOT ITS EXISTING CLIENTS
SELECTABILITY REVIEW: SELECTABILITY Selectability House 59a Cambridge Street, Vincent Townsville. SELECTABILITY CORPORATE THUGS! ROGUE OPERATOR BEWARE! IF "CASH COW" CLIENTS COMPLAIN THEY ARE GIVEN 14 DAYS NOTICE TO GO ELSEWHERE! AND TAXPAYER DOLLARS SUPPORT THESE CORPORATE THUGS, THESE ROGUE OPERATORS! Selectability are going to be putting their corporate logos etc on all SELECTABILITY TOWNSVILLE cars to promote their corporation thus exploiting people with mental illnesses to promote their corporate colours. So much for client confidentiality! In fairness other providers are doing this too! Again when one voiced his opinion to the SELECTABILITY CORPORATE ROBOT manager was more or less told if you don't like it might be best going elsewhere! Should have expected that from a SELECTABILITY corporate only interested in the $$$ rather than the client, the whole reason SELECTABILITY TOWNSVILLE claims to exist in the first place! This NAUGHTY CASH COW had the nerve to complain so they ganged up on me in their Corporate Office, myself against 4 Corporates and they gave me two weeks notice of termination of service! Do SELECTABILITY really need to advertise in such a way by exploiting NDIS client "cash cows" by using us as corporate props, as show pony accessories, parading client "CASH COWS" around in SELECTABILITY corporate colours, showing us off like toy poodles? People looking at the Selectability logos and "suicide prevention" and "mental illness" etc etc printed all over the SELECTABILITY support vehicle LABELING US for their corporate gain! Other drivers who look at us clients in these vehicles think, gosh, we're suicidal or we are some sort of freaks or something best steer clear of him! Such is the stigma of it all!! JUST SO SELECTABILITY TOWNSVILLE CAN PROMOTE THEIR CORPORATE BRAND! And when you complain to SELECTABILITY you are told "you don't like it go elsewhere" more or less! And the Liberals let these SELECTABILITY CORPORATE THUGS these ROGUE OPERATORS get away with this, and even worse, IT'S TAXPAYER DOLLARS SUPPORTING THESE SELECTABILITY CORPORATE THUGS! These so-called "caring" NDIS service providers whos only goal is to expand their corporate interests rather than taking care of the clients they have already! No wonder there are so many NDIS service providers out there waiting to CASH IN! More NDIS service providers just in TOWNSVILLE than blisters on a LNP POLITICIANS BUTT! There needs to be a YEARLY REVIEW period where people and especially clients can object to license renewals when situations like this arise where public and clients have a say, like they do with television stations. This will quickly put an end to ROGUE OPERATORS! Am looking at taking this to the Federal Court Of Australia as attempts to get politicians to stop this practice have failed. Let it be known that the Hon Phillip Thompson's office has sided with this practice by doing nothing to stop it! In fairness, the lady at his electorate office did show some interest by calling back but NO ACTION TAKEN yet. There are laws in Australia about exploiting people with mental illnesses and it is sad days when one must go to the Courts to get them to uphold the law because LNP politicians are not interested! ....HISTORY PRIIR TO ABOVE POST.... SELECTABILITY TOWNSVILLE MANAGMENT & SHIFT CO-ORDINATION - UNRELIABLE, LACK COMMUNICATION - NEGATIVE FIVE STARS! Too many times one has had cancelled shifts with 5 minutes or no or little notice! SELECTABILITY TOWNSVILLE go through more staff than an LNP politician goes through 'dribble bib's' at election time! SELECTABILITY TOWNSVILLE had THREE MONTHS to organise my review with NDIS and in the last 2 weeks finally got to see an Occupational Therapist, and as of today one has not received a copy of the report as promised would be emailed to me last week! When one complains to SELECTABILITY TOWNSVILLE about the lack of communication, cancelled shifts with little or no notice, dirty vehicles and filthy seat covers etc etc (see photos attached) to the corporate robot manager, rather than trying to fix these problems one is told that if one is unhappy with SELECTABILITY it may be better for me to look for another NDIS provider here in Townsville! The SELECTABILITY SUPPORT vehicle I am allocated was filthy for over 6 months until I finally complained, see pics below! Has anyone else been given this same cold shoulder please let us know on this public platform and leave a review. As per other reviews on Google etc, this should not be happening, to meet NDIS support criteria SELECTABILITY should be there for us, WE SHOULD NOT BE THERE FOR THEM! WHY ARE THE LNP TURNING A BLIND EYE TO ALL THIS?
