Cowboy Company - Unfit To Work for the NHS
I was referred as part of an initiative to reduce NHS waiting lists. I had initially contacted the company to ask questions and these were ignored but I looked beyond this… but wished I hadn’t. I was emailed 5 questionnaires to fill in for an autism assessment- one however appeared to be on ADHD which I question as it’s not relevant. The big issue though is that the wording on the questionnaires is so vague - I thus emailed feeling clarity on exactly what it was they were asking. Perfectly reasonable - as I wanted to provide accurate information to assist the clinical team in reaching the right diagnosis. Two days pass and I get an unhelpful and frankly passive aggressive email from ‘David - Medical Secretary’ - in this he essentially tells me that I should just bodge the answers and write anything. I was appalled at this - this is the clinical and healthcare of individuals at stake and all David wanted was the forms to be filled in ASAP with any old information. So as they could cash their cheque from the NHS! I thus raised my concerns at this approach - which is perfectly reasonable - their response was to cancel my referral - they did not involve me with this decision - it was simply a means of penalising the patient for daring to speak out against wholly inappropriate conduct and professional standards. If I knew how poorly I was to be treated - I would never have accepted the referral and I encourage others to think twice before letting this cowboy operation anywhere near your clinical records
