Too much hype and speculation around TON
The TON blockchain boasts a number of truly impressive technical features, such as high transaction speeds and very low fees. From a purely technical standpoint, the network operates smoothly and efficiently compared to many other blockchains. However, the ecosystem surrounding TON has become heavily reliant on speculation and dubious projects. Many community figures associated with the project promote things that later turn out to be disappointing or completely useless. Even after several “rug-pull” style launches and overhyped projects linked to people close to Pavel Durov, some influential figures in the TON space continue to promote low-quality “official” NFT products and collectibles that offer users little real value. One example is the constant promotion of supposedly “official” Telegram NFT sticker collections, which ultimately seem more like empty hype than meaningful digital assets. This gives the impression that the ecosystem cares more about short-term speculation than long-term trust and development. TON certainly has potential, as the technology itself is reliable, but the surrounding culture and the hype fueled by influencers are seriously undermining the project’s reputation. I hope that in the future, the ecosystem will become more transparent and focus on real utility.
