Called to ask for medicaladvice and when they answered and said “hej” i asked if they spoke english and then they immediately hung up even tho i called on the english phoneline
Very bad system and guidelines
The system and the hospitals are not connected enough. I had a badly blistered burn and told them the situation. On my first call they advised wrong medicine. The other day the blister was worse and I wanted to visit the emergency care so I called a hospital. They denied, forwarded me to another hospitals line. They also said no and forwarded me to 1177. Then I explained the situation and told them I wasn't accepted in the hospital they told me I could go to. They kept telling me to go there and when I asked what will I do as a commuting person when they refuse me in person too!? I lost around 2 hours and had to call other hospitals since 1177 wouldn't refer me to another ER for burn handling. All because their guidelines tell them so! The guidelines of the hospitals and the center they're connected to shouldn't be leaving me in a blind spot to fend for myself.

absolutely useless service. they can not advice any better than to call to vårdcentralen after waited in line and answering all thir questions to keep them busy or call a taxi when I could not sit and was full of blood and it could not get out of me which costed me enormous pain. Fullständigt värdelös service. De kan inte ge bättre råd än att ringa vårdcentralen – efter att man har väntat i telefonkö, svarat på alla deras frågor bara för att hålla dem sysselsatta – eller att ta en taxi när jag inte kunde sitta och var full av blod som inte kunde komma ut, vilket orsakade mig enorm smärta."
Poor judgement, almost lead to a disaster
Called 1177 about my spouse who is 37 weeks pregnant, had dangerous fever and was vomiting the whole night. At 3AM, a representative from 1177 suggested to drink more water, which made the situation even worse. We explained to her multiple times that the situation is really really bad, the water cannot stay in her body for 10 seconds and she is dehydrated and basically fading away. The nurse just said to drink more water anyway. At 7:30AM, my spouse was basically collapsing, I took her to the emergency hospital where they said it was super dangerous for both her and the baby. There are so many people in Sweden who would like to help other people and work in healthcare sector. Why hire someone who doesn’t like to help? We pay 40-60% of our salary to maintain healthcare system, and this is what we get? To be honest I’m not even angry anymore, I’m just happy both her and the baby are alive and well. Thanks for nothing.
