Great customer service
Great customer service, available during the week day to send a message or call depending on the complexity of your questions. Very helpful and informative.
Not so clear contract verbiage.
I did update my contract and tried to pay within 30 days of new contract date to get 10% discount, but they rejected the discount due to new contract date is later than original due date. They should make that very clear.
ASCAP doesn't care about independent artists
They just do not care about their lesser-known artists. It's been nothing but frustrating trying to get my publishing worked out and everyone I've dealt with was extremely rude and condescending. It's already hard enough navigating the current landscape in the modern music industry, money is non existent except for a few really big artists. Smaller artists like myself really just do it for the love of music. It's def not financially motivated. But somehow ASCAP makes it even worse than it needs to be. I'm done. Stay away from this trash company.
Not helpful to enquirers
I contacted their member services with a simple request: please give me a contact email for one of your affiliated companies. They replied with a link to their search facility which allowed me to list the songs that firm that published - but did not give any contact details! They had obviously not read my enquiry but just sent a standard reponse.
