The Debt Collector With a 1.3 Trustpilot Rating
Inside eCollect's $13.5M revenue machine and the reputation crisis it faces
In the high-stakes world of debt collection, eCollect.org has built a $13.5M revenue engine by digitizing the invoice-to-cash cycle. But with a 1.3/5 Trustpilot rating from 54 reviews, the company is a fascinating case study in operational efficiency versus customer experience.
"eCollect isn't just collecting debt—they're collecting data on how the industry fails its customers."
The Two-Sided Problem
eCollect serves a paradoxical market: businesses desperate to recover funds and consumers who'd rather avoid them entirely. With 54 Trustpilot reviews averaging 1.3 stars, the data reveals a stark disconnect. The company's 104 employees generate $13.5M in revenue, but each negative review represents a customer experience that fundamentally undermines the brand's digital-first promise.
The Traffic Paradox
With just 374 monthly visits and a global rank of #10.9M, eCollect operates in near-invisibility. Yet 42% of its traffic comes organically—a sign that when people search for debt collection solutions, they're finding this niche player. The top keyword 'ecollect' drives 660 monthly searches, but the company's digital footprint suggests it's either a specialized B2B player or struggling to scale awareness.
The tech stack tells a story of modern infrastructure: AWS CloudFront, Cloudflare, and Tailwind CSS suggest a company building for scale. But the traffic numbers don't match the ambition. For a $13.5M revenue company, sub-400 monthly visits indicates either a highly targeted B2B sales motion or a fundamental SEO gap that's leaving growth on the table.
- Revenue-to-employee ratio of ~$130K suggests lean operations but potential scalability concerns
- 1.3/5 Trustpilot rating indicates severe customer experience issues in a sensitive industry
- Organic traffic dominates (42%) but overall volume is critically low for growth
- Modern tech stack (AWS, Cloudflare) contrasts with minimal digital presence
The Debt Collector's Dilemma
eCollect proves you can build a $13.5M business without loving your customers—but can you scale without their trust? The data suggests not.

Fake scam do not pay
Same as everyone else joined a dating site soon realised it was fake and tried to delete account but could not, then I started getting threatening emails which I ignored now I'm getting threatening letters with a bigger number to pay each time, bit scary at first but the more ive read about them and their little scam I'm not arsed about it they can send as many letters as they like they wont get a penny from me
I was on a dating site that I tried to…
I was on a dating site that I tried to cancel which was impossible so I stopped the automatic payments through my credit card. I have been harassed almost weekly for the past few months by ecollect telling me I have to pay and each time it is different. They then started telling me it was going to court so today I just paid and now my bank has blocked my card for fraud!!!
