The European Payment Glitch

Kevin.eu claims to fix vehicle payments. But with zero web traffic, is it a ghost ship or a stealth giant?

In a world obsessed with consumer apps, Kevin.eu operates in the shadows of the automotive industry. With 568 employees and $92.3M in revenue, this European payment processor claims to be the backbone of vehicle transactions. Yet, their digital footprint is virtually invisible.

"When a company with $92M in revenue has zero web traffic, it's not a startup—it's a B2B giant hiding in plain sight."

The B2B Stealth Model

Kevin.eu isn't selling to consumers; they're the invisible rails beneath car dealerships and rental fleets. With a team of 568, they likely process high-volume, low-visibility transactions. The lack of web traffic isn't a failure—it's a sign of a pure B2B engine where API calls replace website clicks.

The Revenue Reality

Generating $92.3M annually without a public-facing web presence is a paradox. It suggests deep integration with legacy automotive systems. However, the 2.7-star Trustpilot rating from 12 reviews hints at friction in the user experience—likely at the dealership or rental counter level, not the consumer app.

The leadership team reveals a European focus: COO Jan Mier, Director Paolo Procacci, and Product Manager Julia Szalontai. This isn't a Silicon Valley play; it's a grounded, operational approach to a fragmented market. Their tech stack is undetected, implying heavy reliance on on-premise or custom integrations rather than modern SaaS tools.

  • Revenue vs. Visibility Gap: High revenue with zero digital footprint indicates a legacy-heavy B2B model.
  • Trust Deficit: A 2.7/5 rating suggests operational pain points in the payment flow.
  • European Focus: Leadership and domain (.eu) point to a strategy built on regional fragmentation.

The Silent Giant Dilemma

Kevin.eu proves that in B2B infrastructure, revenue doesn't need a website. But for investors, the lack of transparency is a red flag hiding in plain sight.

Awesome everything!

Awesome everything! Reliable service with smooth UX and really low customer drop rate. Didn't see a better price yet, too.

Support is so-so

Support is so-so. Sometimes you get a fast response, sometimes you get no response at all until you e-mail again a week later. But when I did get responses they were well thought out and provided relevant information to me. On the development side, documentation is somewhat spotty. I had to e-mail support a couple of times because of crucial order fulfilment related information omitted from the docs. The docs also do not link their official API clients. I did a search and to my surprise there already was a JVM client on their GitHub (and it actually works), but their docs do not mention this anywhere outside a small note under "mobile SDK". Obviously if you're not specifically developing on mobile, you're never going to look there... Another thing the docs don't mention is that in testmode the webhooks and return sites actually work fine without https (as it should be). The docs state everywhere that https is required. I am also not a fan of the fact that once you set your project from test mode to production, you can not test anymore. I think this is a pretty big oversight. The only reason this gets 4 starts instead of 3, is that after getting through the hurdles, everything actually works fine and the prices for payment initiation are market disruptive. There's only a tiny flat fee and no %-ge based fee, like everyone else charges. What is very nice is that the customer ends up paying you directly via bank transfer and the money is usually instantly credited into your company account (SCT INST settlement). They never touch your money, it does not go through them. All in all, would totally recommend for SEPA payments. It's a bit rough around the edges, but it's also 10-20x cheaper than the competition. Would not recommend processing credit cards through them.

The company is using „slaves” - they are not paying salaries to employees.

The company is not paying salaries and that’s the biggest „bad” experience with them, I could add a toxic atmosphere, no communication and lots (I mean lots!) of breaches from their side (including mutual agreement breach). On the only bright side I have to admit that gaining experience with lots and lots of different areas (bits of every process) is something that anyone can do here. But if the first and foremost thing is not being done (salaries for a few months…), the ability to quickly grow, learn, and actually have an impact on the process fades away entirely.

It's very fishy company

It's very fishy company. Based on activity I found with my other banking system, it seems like that was an tempt of some fraud by this company without my engagement or consent. I would recommend to be very careful with this one.
