Lazydays: The RV Giant Blocking Its Own Customers

A $391M revenue company with a 1.9-star rating and a broken website experience

You're trying to buy a $100,000 RV from a company generating $391.7M in annual revenue, but their website greets you with a Cloudflare block page. This isn't a bug—it's the entire business strategy. Lazydays.com represents a classic case of legacy infrastructure failing to meet modern digital expectations.

"When your website blocks legitimate customers with a Cloudflare error page, you're not just losing traffic—you're actively destroying brand equity."

The Customer Experience Gap

Lazydays operates in the vehicles industry with 1,106 employees and $391.7M in revenue, yet their digital storefront is fundamentally broken. The 1.9-star Trustpilot rating from 27 reviews tells a story of customer frustration that extends far beyond the website. For a company selling high-ticket items like Winnebago campers and travel trailers—where average transaction values likely exceed $50,000—this level of digital friction is catastrophic. Their top keyword 'RV world' (3,500 monthly searches) suggests strong brand awareness, but the 'Sorry, you have been blocked' message converts that awareness into immediate dead ends.

Traffic Without Conversion

The SEO data reveals a company with strong organic visibility but poor conversion pathways. With 54% organic search traffic and 33% direct traffic, Lazydays commands significant brand recognition—'lazydays rv' and 'lazy days' generate over 2,600 combined monthly searches. However, their technical stack (Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, Cloudflare) appears to be creating more barriers than solutions. The 76,562 backlinks represent substantial domain authority that's being wasted on a blocked user experience. For comparison, successful e-commerce companies in this vertical typically see 2-4x higher conversion rates with cleaner technical implementations.

The leadership team composition is telling: a Head Chef, VP Marketing, Property Manager, Parts Manager, and General Service Manager—this suggests a traditional dealership structure struggling to adapt to digital commerce. In an era where competitors like RVTrader and Camping World have invested heavily in seamless online-to-offline experiences, Lazydays appears to be operating with a 2005 mindset in a 2024 market. The fact that their top traffic source is undefined (95.4% of visits) indicates either tracking failures or a fundamental misunderstanding of their customer acquisition channels.

  • Strong brand awareness: 2,600+ monthly searches for branded terms
  • Significant domain authority: 76,562 backlinks
  • Established market position: $391.7M revenue with 1,106 employees
  • Clear product-market fit: Top keywords align with inventory (Winnebago, travel trailers)
Blocks legitimate customers with Cloudflare errors
Strong organic search presence (54% of traffic)
1.9-star Trustpilot rating indicates systemic service issues
Substantial backlink portfolio for SEO authority
Undefined traffic sources suggest poor analytics implementation
Clear product categories matching high-volume search demand
Traditional leadership structure may lack digital expertise
Established physical footprint for omnichannel sales

A $391M Company Trapped in a $391K Tech Stack

Lazydays has the brand, inventory, and market position to dominate RV e-commerce, but their technical execution is actively sabotaging their own success. The Cloudflare block page is just the most visible symptom of a deeper digital transformation failure.

Lazy days in Tampa is awesome

Lazy days in Tampa is awesome. We dealt with Jason brunner and team to purchase a new rv. The one we wanted to look at we were told upfront that their were issues with it having issues so we were shown a 2014 Dutchman Denali that was beautiful and cheaper. We bought that one. Thank you Jason your dealership will be who we buy future RV's from

Lazy Days - Seffner Florida - GREAT !!

Jim and I went to a Tiffin RV rally in Florida. Met a very nice sales rep – Clay Rush. Had been thinking about upgrading our 26 foot Wayfarer for a Class A. But, after looking at all the BIG Allegros, I was terrified about driving and traveling in such a large RV. Clay immediately understood and suggested that perhaps the Tiffin Breeze (the smallest Class A Tiffin Makes) might be a compromise. To make a long story short, the Tiffin Breeze was just right. Not to big – not to small. This led to further investigation and the order of one of the new 2025 Breeze’s to be delivered to Lazy Days in Seffner (Tampa) Florida. The coach price and trade in could not have been better We waited to get the call to go down and pick up our new Breeze 33 BR. An unexpected surprise benefit was that when we bought the Breeze, Lazy Days Tampa has an extra special benefit. We immediately became ‘members’ of the Lazy Days Crown Club. This was NO SMALL BENEFIT !! We drove down in our Tiffin Wayfarer to be traded in and were delighted to see that they had reserved 2 large, side-by-side parking spots on the very nice Crown Club Campground. The new Breeze was right next to us which made it very easy to transfer all our things into it from the Wayfarer. Additionally, the Crown Club provides a lovely dining room, lounge and 3 meals a day for as long as you need to be there – at no cost !!! There was also a private pool and several nice lounges in the Crown Club Building where we could relax and watch TV if they needed to take our Breeze to one of their Bays for work. We ended up staying about 10 days while they added some things (Satellite TV etc) and provided some driving lessons around the campground and sent their Lazy Days Experts to the coach several times a day to “teach” us about all the highly desirable, technical equipment in the new Breeze. The food in the Crown Club was like a semi-high end restaurant with 2 chefs and a wonderful server named Mary who made each day and meal an event!!! AND we so enjoyed the 4-5 other guest of the Crown Club that we dined with 3 meals a day, every day !! Suffice to say that EVERRYONE at this Lazy Days facility provided the BEST of service, outstanding education of the components on our new Breeze and did so with great friendliness!! Many thanks to Clay Rush, sales expert who turned us on to the Breeze Class A option, Dana Smith, our Crown Club Delivery Advisor, Andy Glogower, who took all our money away, Ha Ha!), Rico “the man” Holton, expert in all things possible to purchase in the large Lazy Days store, Paul Harvey & Jim, “walk thru and question answering” experts, David Bonet and Jon Zent, Dish Satellite experts and Mary, Jennifer, Rebecca, and 2 professional Chef’s who provided hospitality, excellent food and fun conversations at meal times. We could not have asked for a better deal, beautiful new RV and outstanding service! But we WILL ask for it again when we return for future service. Our Lazy Days Crown Club membership is good for 3 years with the same benefits !! Jim & Josie, Knoxville, Tennessee

Up date on new awning

Up date on new awning Allie texted me 10/10/23 and let me know the new awning was in. We set up a date to come in and have the awning installed. Arrived at Lazy Day RV at 8:45am for my 9:00 appointment on 10/18/23. Allie met me at the door told me where to go. I dropped the trailer while Allie was taking pics of the trailer. They took the trailer to a bay installed the awning and Allie come and got me 11/2 hrs later all done. Allie was one of the nicest person i had to deal with. Very polite customer service was great. Just a great person to work with. There should b more people like Allie out there helping people not like Camping World

Lazy Days - Loveland CO: Never Again

I bought a used Popup camper from Lazy Days. Price was fine. Sales guy was fine. A little eager, but was just a kid. He had no particular knowledge about the unit, but I knew what I was buying so that was fine. Problem was, I was in Kansas City. Camper was in Loveland. Bought it on photos and a description and a FaceTime walk through. When it arrived, it was dirty. It didn’t get detailed. I clean my campers better half drunk after a week vacation at the lake. No power cord. None. Nada. Not a small item. Travel door had no seal. No way for me to see this on the walk through, but there is a one inch clear sky gap from outside the door to inside on the travel/storage door. Spare tire cover blew off in transit. Battery was original to the camper. They say, new battery is part of the $1000+ prep fee. Okay. I assume so is detailing. Anyway, I’ve had the new (one year old used) camper for two weeks and I’m about done doing their job. Power cord (Amazon not factory) arrives tomorrow, so then I’ll test the AC side of the power system. Will update if that’s in the same state as the rest of the unit on delivery. I let them know of the issues and never heard back. Very different from when they “needed my deposit so the unit wasn’t sold to someone else.” Don’t trust them. Buy from an individual. If you buy from these guys, you get none of the benefit of a dealer and all of the premium and premium price.

We purchased a preowned Lance travel

We purchased a preowned Lance travel . While the sales process went well, following the final walk through we were told that the trailer would be cleaned prior to delivery. The trailer unfortunately arrived very dirty. I spoke with the sales manager Jodi who was not interested in finding a solution. Very disappointed in her response and her demeanor. It is unfortunate to encounter such disinterest in customer service.
