Overall Loomly is a fantastic platform, but the price!
Overall Loomly is a fantastic platform. The tools it has included as well as the ease of use both for an agency as well as clients is fantastic and it makes for a great on boarding experience for clients. My issue here is with a recent overhaul of their package and billing system, which has shut out smaller agencies from being able to effectively afford the platform. I have been a Loomly user for the last four years and they have always been great with fantastic support if there was a problem, which was rare, but I recently had my bill jump 6x the normal amount per month in order to continue using the platform. As a small agency, the platform worked perfectly until now, but the cost has pushed me away, the monthly cost has now got to a stage where it is no longer feasible without incredible price increases for our clients, which they will not accept. It has put my agency in a very difficult position and as a result, I can only give it two stars despite it being a fantastic platform.
Trial period was fine, but then IG's API becomes a growing problem
IG's API becomes a growing problem and after a while, Loomly becomes useless for me. I can't post videos that are more than a min long. I can't post square images, only portrait. My threads account keeps disconnecting for no reason. This was not discovered until after I opted for the annual rate. :(. Customer service was not understanding. I would have taken a partial refund but they wouldn't budge at all. Most of my posts are now coming directly from my phone....using this service become more of a headache, costing me a lot of time to troubleshoot.
Disappointed in their attitude
Disappointed in their attitude I have used Loomly for a number of years, and been generally happy with how it has developed. I believe I was quite an early user. But my use of social media has changed, and I wanted to cancel my subscription. I had paid annually, so obviously would not expect anything like a full refund. But I'm just three months into the annual subscription, and I think it's shameful that they don't offer some degree of refund - especially as I've been with them for five years. Every other company that I've had dealings with has taken a much more professional attitude, and I can see I am not alone in my disappointment.
Loomly Has Changed And Not For The Better.
I've been a loomly customer since early 2019 and was a very big advocate for this platform and the innovative team behind it. I don't know what has gone wrong the past 12 months but the wheels are absolutely off. Silly development changes that add extra steps, technical glitches and removal of the support chat should have been warning signs. Today, I was slugged with a 600% increase in my subscription (from $69 AUD to just over $600 AUD). No notice, no discussion - just an attempt to charge my card for the larger amount. I've reached out twice today but there is zero cares given from support. Social scheduling programs are everywhere so Loomly will undoubtedly see a mass exodus. It was never the best program but the support, the fact you could reach out with a suggestion and they implemented it - was more than enough to avoid us shopping around for the past 7 years.
