Loveoggs: The Vegan Egg Revolution
How a UK startup is cracking the $100B egg industry with aquafaba.
While the world argues over lab-grown meat, Loveoggs is quietly dismantling the egg industry from the inside out. They aren't selling a lifestyle; they are selling chemistry—specifically, the magic of aquafaba.
"They aren't just replacing eggs; they are industrializing the waste stream of chickpeas to do it."
The Aquafaba Moat
Loveoggs has found a massive arbitrage opportunity in the most unglamorous byproduct of the food industry: chickpea brine. While competitors chase expensive pea protein isolates, Loveoggs leverages aquafaba—a high-volume, low-cost input. With 22,530 monthly searches for 'aquafaba,' they are riding a wave of consumer education they didn't have to pay for. This is a defensible supply chain advantage.
The B2B Trojan Horse
With only 6,612 monthly visits, their direct-to-consumer (DTC) web presence is deceptively quiet. The real story is in their 'National Account Managers' and 'Head of Foodservice' roles. They aren't chasing cookie clicks; they are chasing B2B contracts. Their revenue of $9.3M on such low web traffic proves they have cracked the institutional code—supplying cakes and alternatives to cafes and retailers where volume dwarfs website sales.
The search data reveals a savvy SEO strategy. They rank for high-intent, long-tail queries like 'how long do oggs cakes last' and 'vegan loaf cake using oggs.' They aren't fighting for the generic term 'vegan egg'; they are owning the utility phase of the customer journey—the moment of baking and consumption.
- Product-Market Fit: They sell finished goods (cakes) alongside raw ingredients (egg alternatives), capturing both the home baker and the lazy consumer.
- Tech Stack Agility: Built on a hybrid of Tailwind, Bootstrap, and Ant Design, suggesting a pragmatic, speed-over-silicon approach to engineering.
- Social Proof: A 4.1/5 Trustpilot rating with a small but vocal base of 5 reviews indicates a high-satisfaction, low-churn user base.
The Quiet Giant of Plant-Based Eggs
Loveoggs proves that in the food industry, B2B contracts beat viral traffic every time.

Highly reccomend
Hannah was a pleasure to deal with! - The Flooring365 Team
Great tasting - environmentally conscious. Highly recommended!
Bought these after seeing them in Sainsbury's and was very surprised at how good they were. Also noticed a few plus points on the packaging, such as not using eggs (so I'm assuming they're fully vegan friendly) and also using recycled materials for packaging. Will be buying again!
Chogs

Not fully Vegan - Dairy Allergy
The product used to taste good from what I remember... (hence the 3 star) would have been 1 otherwise. They seem to have changed their manufacturing methods and now is not suitable for Dairy Allergy suffer's (not fully vegan), miss leading use of Vegan stamp - life customer lost. (hope this changes)
OGGS - Victoria sponge (4x46gm) - Horrific Nutritional contents - 100% Diabetogenic
OGGS products should be banned or marked with a ☠️ Typical Values per 100gm - 378kcal Fat 17.5g of which saturates 3.3g Carbohydrate 46.8g of which sugars 29.3g Fibre 0.97g Protein 4g Salt 1.1g Not only does the product taste awful it is packed with sugar (nearly 50% by weight). This must be one of the unhealthiest products available in Waitrose. The fact that this company is a member of B-corp (businesses that act in ways that benefit society as a whole) is beyond irony. Diabetics be aware and anyone not wishing to become a Type II diabetic or morbidly obese avoid this or similar products.
