I recently visited the Mont Blanc shop…
I recently visited the Mont Blanc shop on South Anne Street in Dublin. I was greeted by the lovely Vlatka. I was looking for a gift for a work colleague who was leaving to move to Australia. She suggested a pen and notebook which were absolutely stunning. We also got both engraved. I collected the gifts 2 days later and they were in a stunning presentation box, perfectly gift-wrapped. Vlatka is extremely warm, friendly, professional and knowledgable. I would highly recommend visiting the shop if you're looking for that special gift! Thank you Vlatka :)
Repair
I sent my pen away for repair, in October 2025, I have had no and little communication from them. I am so disappointed. Having brought a premium quality writing instrument, from a premium brand, I never expected that customer service or repair would take so long. It is now January 2026 and just had a response back, saying it's going to be another 4 - 6 weeks. No one cares !!!
I am very disappointed in Montblanc
I am very disappointed in Montblanc. They make nice pens. I bought a Leonard Bernstein ballpoint pen. The pen is beautiful. But when the cartridge ran out, none of the ones they sold, fit. So I called customer service multiple times and also emailed. First they advised me to buy refills that did not fit, then they disappeared and stopped answering my emails. The bottom line is that they appear to have no refill for sale that fit their own expensive pen, which is a 1996 model, I believe. So they just vanished. At those high prices, they should provide better customer service. I eventually found a refill that fit, but no thanks to the useless service at Montblanc. The pens are nice, the customer service is not.
Montblanc used to be great in the 80's…
Montblanc used to be great in the 80's and 90's when they were just a great pen company. They have gone totally downhill ever since they were bought by a luxury goods parent company now. I used to be a huge fan and have now turned against them, especially since there are so many other options for great fountain pens now.
Beautiful pen but I am tired of buying…
Beautiful pen but I am tired of buying refills. Without exaggeration I wrote out 5 Christmas cards and it’s ran out. Exactly the same experience with a new refill last year. We are talking about 40 words then it’s done. Had 6 refills in total and it is the same story every time. Horrendous.
