Security was fast and friendly but gate personnel lied
Security was fast and friendly, the problem was with Lufthansa personnel at the gate who told us our flight to Brussels was “completely full” and we therefore HAD TO check in our carry on luggage. The plane had at least 20 empty seats and lots of overhead bins were empty. Now we are waiting a long time in Brussels airport to get our carry on luggage from the carousel and will miss our train connection. I will never believe the Lufthansa gate people again.
Very bad experience me and my family…
Very bad experience me and my family where on standby for Munich to London (Heathrow) we got checked in and they sent our bags through, then at the gate they told us there was no seats. As any other person would do we looked for the next flight but before we have to collect our bags. We have been here for 2 hours now waiting for our bags to turn up nobody has given us any beneficial advice and we have no clue what we are gonna do. They have told us multiple times “give it 10 minutes” we have and no bags. This airport needs to sort out recruitment of staff ext as this is very bad service. Do not recommend flying to or from here.
Snail staff, treated like children
Slow to unboard, bus was late, but we still had 30ish minutes to make our flight and had fast pass priority. Then we got to passport control - good god. "Fast pass" is just a separate line in the que. There was 1-3 booths to check passports at any given time. Both booths had shift changes, with each staff member taking 2-3 minutes to change. And for asking about calling ahead to the gate, we were told no and to stay put. Despite arriving with an hour to get to our gate, we had absolutely no chance to make our flight and it was clear that the Munich airport staff is either overstretched, doesn't care about the quality of their work or enjoys making passengers squirm. Either way, don't look for human beings here. Just people trying to protect their jobs over the people they are serving.
Robbed by vending machine
Robbed by vending machine, tried to call the number on the machine (X2) and it said it wasn’t a real number so I called the main airport and they said to add 0049 so I tried that and the number didn’t even ring. So I rang back the airport and they said they were busy, not in the mood to be robbed, definitely shit. Staff rude. Flight delayed 2 hours, airport layout awful, no water bottle refills and 0 help to get water from vending machine, sad excuse for an attempt at meal deals. Would have been 0 stars without the smoking area which I must admit, is convenient and necessary when navigating such a vast space of dissatisfaction. Airport staff riding scooters which normally I would think hell yeah, but right now I’m thinking, you’re taking the piss. I’m still waiting for compensation, not impressed.
Terrible airport with extremely rude…
Terrible airport with extremely rude lazy staff in all areas. No body willing to help with questions. Ignorant lazy security who take forever even in gastvtrack to pray and check your lugagge. Disgraceful behavior by security looking through your bags and see a couple of bars of chocolate and say you should guve them to us sharing is caring. How belligerent and unprofessional. Staff stand around with long lines of people waiting and they couldn't care less. Then they pull everything out leave it and then tell you to hurry up pack your stiff.they need the space. This would be the worst Ignorant and unprofessional security anywhere in the world. The airport itself is dirty, floors haven't been properly cleaned in ages. Staff ar shops and airlines staff are biligerant and unhelpful. This airport would easily win.the rudest most unhelpful airport staff in the world. Everything is dysfunctional and poorly organised and the airport lounges are overcrowded with a very poor selection of food and drinks on offer. Not the worst lounges in the world but not far from it. Overall its a very crappy airport with rude unhelpful lazy staff I would rate it 1 out 1000, in other words avoid it whereever possible
