Re:State: The Think Tank Disrupting UK Policy
A 19-person startup challenging the establishment with data-driven policy
In a sea of dusty Westminster institutions, Re:State operates like a tech startup: lean, data-obsessed, and ruthlessly focused on execution. They aren't just analyzing policy; they're engineering the political software for the next decade.
"Re:State treats policy not as a debate, but as a product roadmap—prioritizing speed and impact over consensus."
The Audience: Policy Nerds & Power Players
With only 8,992 monthly visits, Re:State punches above its weight class. Their traffic isn't vanity; it's high-intent. The top search term 'reform manifesto' (1,890 volume) signals an audience hungry for actionable blueprints, not academic theory. They are speaking directly to the architects of change.
The Growth Engine: Digital-First Advocacy
While traditional think tanks rely on legacy media, Re:State builds on a modern stack. Running on WordPress but enhanced with Tailwind CSS and Ant Design, they prioritize content velocity. Their 55% organic traffic share proves they win on SEO, capturing specific policy queries like 'reform uk anti widening participation' where competitors are silent.
The tech stack reveals their hybrid nature. They use jQuery and core-js—stable, ubiquitous tech—layered with modern UI frameworks like DaisyUI. This isn't a vanity project; it's a functional machine designed to disseminate ideas quickly and cleanly. The signal is clear: resources are allocated to content and reach, not flashy, ephemeral tech.
- Hyper-specific keyword targeting (e.g., 'examples of everythingism')
- Low-overhead operations (19 employees for $1.7M revenue)
- Multi-platform distribution (YouTube, X, LinkedIn)
- Lean governance structure
The Verdict: A Think Tank for the SaaS Era
Re:State proves that in the attention economy, influence is measured in organic search rankings, not white paper circulation.

As said by someone else. Cancellation process made very difficult. I cancelled my subscription via my bank. Latest conservative liar and thief Was the last straw. Good luck with that one Nigel

Be careful about becoming a member as they won't confirm cancellation despite saying you can cancel anytime, they clearly were arrogant enough to think nobody would want to cancel. No communication from the member link.
Poor response options
When Rupert Lowe was treated badly by Reform UK, I cancelled my fairly new membership. In the absence of any response, I even sent a Recorded Delivery letter that didn't receive any acknowledgement or reply. Now that almost a year has passed, I am being reminded that Reform is unable to collect my direct debit. Today I received a second reminder, but most emails sent to me are from a no-reply address. I have used the website to try to contact the membership department, but apparently, it doesn't respond very promptly either.
Some Mistake Here Surely? Ed.
I don't think I would be inclined to do business with an organization whose website is called Re:State who allows themselves to have a page on a review website entitled Reform.uk Does Nigel Farage know about this? I was just about to review his Millbank HQ
