Retard et suppressions de trains
Impossible de faire un trajet hebdomadaire sans passer par des retards et suppression de trains. Souvent des dérangement aux véhicules sont indiqués (Matériel à revoir!!)
full trains
full trains, expensive and bathrooms not working
Terrible customer support experience
Terrible customer support experience. 1 customer support agent makes promises, others don’t know what the first one said. No documentation or record of previous conversations with support. Absolute disgrace that SBB charges such insane prices and then provides such abysmal support.
Pay a lot...get a little
Travelling by public transport in Switzerland is becoming increasingly expensive, but unfortunately the quality and reliability of the service do not always reflect the prices passengers are expected to pay. A good example is the Zürich–Lachen route, which I use regularly. Several times during the year, passengers have to deal with delays, cancellations, construction work and interruptions of the normal connection. Maintenance of the railway infrastructure is obviously necessary, but the way disruptions are managed and the alternative capacity provided to passengers leave a lot to be desired. The current situation around Wädenswil is a particularly frustrating example. While work is being carried out on the line, train capacity has been reduced, with some services operating with only three carriages. The result is that passengers who have paid very expensive tickets or annual subscriptions are forced to travel packed together like sardines. At peak times, this is simply unacceptable for a public transport system charging Swiss-level prices. What makes the situation even more frustrating is the broader transport policy. Ticket and subscription prices continue to rise, while Zürich simultaneously reduces parking availability and increasingly discourages travelling by car. If citizens are being pushed towards public transport, then public transport must be affordable, reliable and have sufficient capacity. People should not be pressured away from one form of transport only to be charged ever-higher prices for an increasingly overcrowded alternative. SBB and the responsible public authorities should be held to a much higher standard. Infrastructure maintenance is unavoidable; poor planning, insufficient replacement capacity and overcrowded trains should not be. For the amount passengers in Switzerland pay, expecting reliable connections, adequate capacity and reasonable comfort is not asking too much.
Rude staff and customer service, overpriced
Rude staff and customer service, greedy and unsympathetic. I commute daily in the 2nd class. One day I sit in a 1st class seat, which is very poorly marked. In spite of the train being half empty (I could easily have had a whole row of 2nd class seats to myself) and the obvious misunderstanding that had occurred with me having a valid 2nd class ticket, which I maintain is due to the poor signage, I was fined 75 chf, by a very condescending staff member. They tell me that I can only appeal the case online, which I attempt, but there I am met after 2 weeks, with an equally condescending response. They do not acknowledge or give any indication that they have even read my explanation of the situation, and just copy paste links to their terms and conditions. I would expect, especially given the exorbiant prices, a more thoughtful reaction to the situation. Instead, they proceed by whichever avenue extracts them the highest revenue.
