I like their product I hate their idea of RMA
Here's the thing I like the product, Apex 7 keyboard. Mine developed a fault in the LEDs on 5 of the keys. I even liked the speed at which they responded and proceeded to RMA. Alas that's where it went south. The RMA procedure, I thought ok return mine for repair or maybe they send out a replacement and I send mine back. No, what they want is that you destroy it, take pictures and send them in. Even more keep hold of the product you destroyed until your new one arrives. That's not confidence inspiring at all. Only after this is done will they advance your RMA, it says, although I suspect this means RMA accepted they do not clarify they will by this point have agreed to send the replacement. Uh OK so aside from I am destroying the keyboard I need to work before any replacement comes along and I will need to buy a cheap one to tide me over lets look at the shocking environmental and ewaste implications. Most people after destroying it let's be honest are not going to search for and travel to a recycling point, they're going to throw it in the bin. My nearest is an hours drive and I don't think they do much other than throw most of it in landfill. Excellent, just what the planet needs more e-waste. Sadly a lot of recying centres in the UK don't recycle that plastic other than bottles at present, they throw it in landfill. Then there is this horrid move toward never repair just throw another one at you and bin what is, bar lighting issues, a functioning keyboard. Ever heard of charity Steelseries? Some people would be very happy to have a keyboard that while some LEDs don't work it still does. You could easily get customers to destroy the serial number on the thing and you have a log of it on RMA anyway. So it's not going to resell and come back to you as another RMA, or even scratch the fault into the plastic in the base devaluing it. Or better still just get them to return it to SteelSeries and you can look good offering charity a functioning but faulty product that in these horrifically hard times for many they would appreciate while generating charitable revenue. But ewaste it? What's worse I have to be the person who is complicit and wastes it for you? What a dubious and horrible practice. Conclusion , yes I expect to have a faulty product repaired or replaced because if not there is nothing holding companies to decent standards. However this is not the way. Sadly it will put a dent in any thoughts I have of purchasing from SteelSeries in future and I pray my headohines keep working cause if they every fail I'm just replacing them myself. It's a shame because to be fair to them I like the products and their response times and ease of customer service. It's just too big a red flag for me to want to repeat.

Arctis Nova 4x Wireless Arrived!
Just received my Arctis Nova 4x yesterday, the package arrived with issues the product box has no dents to it, but I'm confused on how to navigate in it's software.

Lovely keyboard, crap software
I love my Apex 3 TKL keyboard, but the Gaming Gear software is terrible. This POS literally crashes every day on Windows 10. If you think Logitech's G Hub is bad, then think again!
We just bought a 2nd pair an the mic…
We just bought a 2nd pair an the mic doesn't work for my iPad. It keeps going in and out. The first pair worked. Good for awhile than had the mix issue than bought another pair only a few days old an still have the same issue

Software is the problem
Software is the problem. Steelseries make good hardware but have decided that cheaping out on software is their path. I have the Gamedbuds, Pro headphones, mouse etc (over 1$k of their hardware). I have invested in this brand. And its all for nothing. The software regularly and reliably lets it down. I'm tired of new updates that i should be pleased about reliably breaking things and resetting options that I rely on. This is not a reliable company. The software ruins everything. It never improves, every update breaks something else. This is who they are. Garbage updates breaking the hyper expensive products you own. I am so tired of this. I have stopped buying their products and have moved on. I no longer care what Steelseries make. Note the Gamesbuds are particalarly awful, not in front of the reciever? forget it. Disconnect based on their own random timing? You have to put them back in their box or wait for... a VERY long time... to get them to reconnect. Steelseries are TIRESOME in every way. You dont't want this in your life.
