TSheets: The $6.8M Time Tracking Ghost
A deep dive into a profitable but invisible QuickBooks acquisition
TSheets is the time-tracking powerhouse you’ve likely never heard of, yet it commands a loyal, high-intent user base generating $6.8M in revenue. But with a staggering 1.2/5 Trustpilot rating and vanishing brand visibility, is this Intuit acquisition a hidden gem or a support nightmare?
"TSheets proves you don't need brand love to build a $6.8M business—just a lock-in ecosystem and a desperate need for payroll compliance."
The Intuit Gravity Well
The data tells a story of acquisition, not organic growth. 'tsheets login' (3,130 volume) is the top keyword, but it's surrounded by 'qbo test drive' and 'quickbooks test drive'. This isn't a standalone brand; it's a feature living inside the QuickBooks ecosystem, riding the coattails of Intuit's massive user base. The 62% direct traffic isn't brand recall—it's muscle memory for users forced into the workflow.
The Support Crisis
A 1.2/5 rating on Trustpilot with 126 reviews is a five-alarm fire for a company of this size. For a product handling payroll and compliance, this level of user dissatisfaction is catastrophic. With only 54 employees to support a revenue base of $6.8M, the math suggests a severely understaffed support team or a product that has become too complex for its users to manage without hand-holding.
The 'undefined' countries in the traffic data are likely a tracking artifact, but the dominance of US-centric keywords suggests TSheets is a North American play. The $15M funding round is historical context, likely predating the Intuit acquisition, which valued the tech stack over the brand equity.
- Ecosystem Lock-in: Survives on QuickBooks integration, not standalone value.
- Revenue Efficiency: $125k revenue per employee indicates high automation or pricing power.
- Brand Erosion: Search volume is migrating to 'QuickBooks Time' (the rebranded name), making 'tsheets.com' a legacy asset.
The Verdict: A Zombie Asset?
Profitable, but dying from brand neglect.

I just spent 3 hour and 10 minutes on the online chat to try to get my verification process to work correctly and they never got it working properly. I would NEVER recommend this company. I use it strictly for a stand alone timesheet program and I do NOT integrate with Quickbooks because it messes up all my prior time cards that are already entered in Quickbooks. It is expensive and not worth the money!!!! Stay away from this program.
So difficult to use
So difficult to use Can't get up and running
Constantly logs you out
Constantly logs you out, if you make a mistake (typo) logging in you have to wait 20 minutes to try again. Additionally, and ILLEGALLY they track you via your phone even when you are not at work (not a requirement for my employment), you can't even clock in unless you allow them to track your phone 24/7. I hate this app, and their arrogance in requiring me to remember a password just to clock in. I don't work for t-sheets but they sure seem to think I do. Evil tech company.
Terrible
I have over 40 hours this month trying to fix all the issues with employees trying to login. All the updates for the app locks them out, or does not sync their time. We have techs all over the country and trying to walk them through the steps is horrible, expensive and not efficient for this company. Bottom line, TSheets is a terrible program since the Intuit buyout. Would not recommend to anyone.
Tsheets used to rock before they sold…
Tsheets used to rock before they sold out to Intuit. Buggy and overly protective with constant validations. You would think their protecting the Dept of defense. Typical story of goliath thinking they know better than David...Totally turned off!
