French Garbage
Driver’s side wiper fixing clip broke with the wiper disappearing across the bonnet. At the time I needed one in an emergency because the rubber blade on my original Honda wiper had split. I could only buy a Valeo replacement at Halfords. Have now replaced both Valeo wipers with a set of Bosch which I had ordered as spares. The quality of the German Bosch blade is better than the French Valeo. It is also cheaper. It’s a no brainer for the consumer. I contacted Valeo Customer Services whether I could obtain the small plastic clip. Basically I received a terse clinically neutral response. Not a good company.
One star is actually one too many
Who knew the Cibie brand is now owned by Valeo? I bought a pair of their led Mini Oscars. At £200+ each these aren’t cheap. I lost or had stolen one of the covers. Anybody who runs auxiliary lights knows this is pretty common. I contacted Valeo who claim they cannot obtain them. This of course is complete b**locks as one comes in the box with every light. What they mean is they can’t be bothered to make them available. So be warned and if possible avoid buying their products as they are a 💩 company who care nothing for their customers once they’ve pocketed the cash.
F-type LED daytime running light…
F-type LED daytime running light faulty. MY2018 LED Jaguar F-type headlamp has a faulty daytime running light. The LED headlamp cluster, that should last the life of the car, has developed a fault with the left hand daytime running light just out of warranty. Mine is not unique, there are over 30 others on Facebook with the same problem on their MY2018 cars, and just the left hand one. There are also several postings on the F-type forums on the matter. This would suggest an inherent problem with these lamps. If it was only a few £ to replace then we're not going to get upset. However, at £2,200 + VAT per unit, it works out a rather expensive repair for the car! Valeo were contacted and couldn't care less.
