WesBanco bought my mortgage account and their website is horrible. They try to push you into opening a checking account you don't want to use the online payments. No reason for it, just a shameless attempt at forcing services you don't want on you

I'm a fraud investigator. I have evidence of some Wesbanco accounts being hacked. I tried to contact the company through various email addresses but got no reply. No way to look after your customers.
Bad faith
Offered me a promo to sign up for a new account with direct deposits. I did so, carefully ensuring that I filled everything out (including promo code). Now after the allotted time for them to pay out the bonus, nothing. I contact them and am told I didn’t sign up for the promo (incorrect) and their system shows no code (not something I can control). They tell me “a lot of people have been complaining about this” on the phone but that they can’t help me. They recently could fix this for all their complaints but “marketing took it away”. So they know they had a problem with this promotion and they know I signed up at that time and met their requirements, and they simply say I should have complained sooner. Bad faith for an institution you really want to be able to trust. Not a good feeling to start off a banking relationship. I’ll close my account and call it a day, but what a waste for us both.
