XBITE: The Quiet Giant of UK E-commerce
A £14.7M revenue machine with a 1.7-star rating tells a brutal story
In the vast, noisy landscape of UK e-commerce, XBITE.co.uk operates like a ghost in the machine. With 72 employees generating $14.7M in revenue, it's a statistical outlier that defies conventional wisdom on customer satisfaction.
"XBITE proves that in e-commerce, operational efficiency can trump customer love—at least for a while."
The Traffic Paradox
XBITE receives just 519 monthly visits—a shockingly low number for a £10M+ business. This isn't a traffic problem; it's a signal problem. Their 43% organic search traffic suggests they're not competing for visibility, while 36% direct traffic indicates a small but loyal (or perhaps captive) customer base. The global rank of #10,694,818 positions them as invisible to the broader market.
The Trust Deficit
A 1.7-star rating from 44 reviews isn't just bad—it's a red flag waving in a hurricane. For a company of this size and revenue, the math doesn't add up. Either they're serving a hyper-niche market that tolerates poor service, or they're running on razor-thin margins where customer experience is the first casualty. This is the kind of metric that makes investors pause and founders sweat.
The tech stack tells a story of pragmatism over polish. jQuery, Slick, Bootstrap—these aren't cutting-edge tools, but they're battle-tested and cheap to maintain. Tailwind CSS and Google Fonts suggest a modern veneer, but the core remains firmly rooted in 2010s web development. This isn't a tech-first company; it's an operations-first company that happens to sell online.
- Revenue-per-employee: ~$204K—impressive for e-commerce
- Traffic-per-employee: 7.2 visits/month—alarmingly low
- Trustpilot velocity: 44 reviews suggests active reputation management
- Keyword strategy: Dominating 'xbite' but invisible for product terms
XBITE is a lesson in e-commerce pragmatism
It's not pretty, it's not loved, but it's profitable. And in the end, revenue talks.

Wonderful experience
I have got to say, I was incredibly nervous after reading the reviews after I'd purchased my record frames and seeing all the negative reviews. I was shocked that my item was delivered within two days but nothing was damaged and everything was perfect! I am hoping the company has vastly improved and made things right for those customers who haven't had the experience I've had. Please do check my previous reviews to know I am a genuine person and not some bot or individual paid to write good reviews if they're not genuine!
Ordered on 20/4, delivered on 15/5 after chasing!
On 20/4, I ordered a game for a birthday present on the regular delivery service, which said 2-5 business days. By early May I emailed asking where it was and got a (prompt, to be fair) answer saying that they had a problem with stock and the item hadn’t even been dispatched, but that I was on a ‘priority list’ and they’d ship it ASAP. As it was, the item wasn’t dispatched for yet another 10 days and didn’t arrive with me until 15/5, by which time I had had to buy the game again elsewhere. Pretty appalling service, frankly, as I have now found myself with two of the same (which I don’t need). Will not buy from them again. The extra star is purely because they actually bothered to reply to my email and they were polite and informative - but this still didn’t detract from the fact that they took almost a month to deliver the item.

I ordered a game that never arrived, they ignored my emails. Do not buy from this company.
I purchased an Xbox controller for my…
I purchased an Xbox controller for my sons birthday in may from 365 games. We realised in November it was faulty, stopped connecting to the Xbox, I emailed xbite as it is still under warranty, no replies being completely ignored! Do not order from this company! Absolute joke.
XBITE ARE DISHONEST!!!
Prior to placing my order I contacted Xbite / Ozgameshop.com to ensure that they would be able to fulfil the order. Hannah responded confirming that they would have the game in stock and would be able to complete the order. I placed the order 28 August 2024 the game was a preorder and released 29 October 2024. When the order was not dispatched on or before the release date I tried to contact Hannah again, however, Hannah did not respond. After sending multiple emails and Facebook messages, I was finally informed that “unfortunately we are still waiting for the item to be dispatched” and asked if I’d like to wait or have the order cancelled and refunded. Despite informing Hannah that I was in fact happy to wait for the order, Hannah deliberately ignored this and cancelled my order without my consent or permission. No compensation has been offered despite withholding my money from 28 August 2024 to 02 November 2024 despite obviously being fully aware that they were unable to fulfil my order. I am seeking that the second order I placed 20 September 2024 be fully refunded as I suspect I won’t be receiving this order either. I regret giving this company a second chance as I never received the order I placed 27 June 2021 as I incorrectly assumed that 3 years after that experience Xbite might have actually done something to improve, clearly this is not the case so I won’t be placing any future orders with them and caution anyone considering placing an order with them as you won’t receive it, you’ll have to fight for a refund and only end up placing that same order elsewhere so save your time and money and purchase elsewhere.
