BizBash: The Unlikely Event Empire
How a 78-person team commands the $100B event industry
In an industry fragmented by gig workers and boutique agencies, BizBash quietly dominates as the central nervous system for event professionals. With just 78 employees, they've built a media and resource empire that pulls in over 150,000 monthly visits from planners, designers, and executives who need to know what's next.
"BizBash doesn't just cover the event industry—they ARE the industry's water cooler, trend forecaster, and procurement desk rolled into one."
The Keyword Juggernaut
The data reveals BizBash's secret weapon: they've mastered SEO for high-intent event keywords. When a planner searches 'Pantone Color of the Year 2026' (169K monthly searches), BizBash captures that traffic and funnels it into their ecosystem. They're not just a media company; they're a search-optimized lead generation machine for the events space.
The Trust Paradox
With a 2.8/5 Trustpilot rating from just 3 reviews, BizBash faces a credibility challenge. Yet their traffic tells a different story—43% direct traffic suggests a fiercely loyal core audience. This isn't a platform built on reviews; it's built on utility. Event profs don't love it, they NEED it.
The parent company, Informa, provides the infrastructure that keeps BizBash lean and profitable. While other media companies burn cash on content, BizBash's 78-person team operates with the efficiency of a SaaS startup. Their tech stack—Bootstrap, Vite, Cloudflare—prioritizes speed and reliability over flashy innovation.
- Dominates event industry search with 1,680 monthly 'bizbash' branded searches
- Captures 73% of traffic from undefined sources (likely direct/professional networks)
- Strategic presence on TikTok and Instagram for visual event inspiration
- LinkedIn as primary B2B channel for industry decision-makers
The Unsung B2B Powerhouse
While tech startups chase AI hype, BizBash proves that deep industry expertise and SEO mastery create lasting value in overlooked verticals.

I LOVE BIZBASH!!!!
BiZBash.com is a great source for people who are looking for ideas for any type of event. They have 5,000 resources, premium listings, and a archive of over 1,000 previous events that you can actually see where they where, who did what and how it looked. Bizbash is the one stop shop for all event needs

As the owner of a company who provides services for events, I thought BizBash might be a good way for me to go, especially considering how many referrals and gigs I have received from similar type companies like GigSalad, GigMasters, CVent, and others. I was really excited to advertise on a medium that was going straight to my target market- business events. However, after a full year of advertising with them, and they are the MOST expensive of any of their competitors, I did not receive a single lead, much less any gigs. Not one. I receive several a DAY from all the others. Not one in a year. Waste of money, and I had to argue with them for months to get it back.
I wanted to kill myself - potential employees and clients beware
No pros. This company is a sorry excuse for a business. This company is owned by Connect Meetings and Bizbash is just as bad as its sister company. Don't be fooled, same terrible upper management as Connect. It's the same people running both sh!!t shows. Everyone saying there is room to grow is lying or a salesperson. You only get treated and compensated well if you are ripping off clients left and right. You will reach a cap and then they will terminate you and will often times (unknowingly) be training your replacement prior to termination. I've seen it sooo many times with other amazing colleagues, then me right before Christmas. Usually the reason is bullsh!!t and just an excuse to make their numbers look good at the end of the year so the executives get huge bonuses. Metaphorically a punch in the face when you can barely afford living expenses with the below industry average salary you WILL get paid. Sad, they are a company that only cares about the bottom line but claim to care SOOOOO much about the employees. Absolutely disgusting to lie to their employees faces with a smile. Connect and Bizbash are a disgrace and so are all the executives. I honestly hope Matt, Chris, and Andrew see this so they know what they did to me. You are all so wrong for this but I hope you are all enjoying the bonuses you got last year, while I was freaking out figuring out how I was going to pay rent or EAT. Even now I have no idea how I'm going to pay for the medicine I need to survive w/o insurance. This is the reality for young professionals. How does it feel to be a generally terrible person with two faces? Must be exhausting to lie to clients and employees all the time. That's super cUnty behavior...FROM FULL GROWN MEN no less. It truly makes me laugh at how stupid you are. Andrew, you did not have my back at all nor did you stand up for me. Coward behavior. I'll never work in this industry again. You did not deserve me. It’s essentially a boys club in upper management and in sales too. It’s really entertaining watching them truly believe the lies they are selling clients in the travel and tourism industry. Multiple attendees told me in Puerto Rico and Dertriot they were awful. Not to mention the shady business practices I observed on the daily. There was no SOP in existence and if their was it was NEVER EVER enforced. Chris, Matt, and Andrew, start being transparent with your employees and actually reward high caliber work. Consider being servant leaders?????? That’s so important in business. Shouldn’t you be working just as hard or harder than your employees? Sad that I was a better servant leader and I'm only 5 years into my professional career. This is an excellent lesson on how to destroy a young professional's spirit, drive, and willingness to work hard. Maybe if you guys paid a little bit more attention to the day-to-day operations you would know who pulls all the weight... just like a silly goofy idea??? Imagine not knowing one of your employees has over 20k followers on tik tok (not to mention the large following I have on other platforms) with just under a million views &successfully created a brand for herself in a niche community in under 2 years. My engagement rate is actually higher than average. Yours is below average considering your following on FB. HOW DO YOU HAVE over 50k likes and you barely average one like per post??? I HAVE MORE REACH AS a SINGULAR CONTENT CREATOR and I've never had to boost a single post PFFFTTT laughing my fata$$ off so hard right now. So embarrassing. Take that major L. oof. Does it hurt your ego knowing my content has more likes & engagement than yours? I'm a single person. You have a whole company. OH MY GOD so cringe 😂😂😂 I hope it hurts and I hope you know you're stupid for never getting to know me and my actual capabilities, probably could have helped your lame social media pages with NO spice. 🤣 MORE diversity in the executive positions…seems like a lot of you are just feeding each other’s ego’s in this creepy little echo chamber you're in. You act like frat dudes in college. That’s the kind of environment it feels like to paint a nice picture for you, not really fun if you are a woman or another minority in a corporate setting like that. Basically you’re only gonna have a good time if you are in sales bc they are foaming at the mouth to suck every last cent they can out of clients so they incentivize the ever living sh!!tballs out of sales. They really think they did something of value at the end of the day (which truly is not much) and I get second hand embarrassment that I have to tell people I worked for them. I'm embarrassed I worked so hard. I'm embarrassed I let them take advantage of me. Don't let this happen to you, skip applying to work here. You will not be fulfilled in any aspect. And that is what it's like working for connect and bizbash ^^^^
