Onerous
The system is onerous for a small practice. Paper files for us work 50% quicker than this online system. You need to open multiple tabs to review a file and click between them. Uploading spreadsheets gives dates errors which then need editing and the whole thing defaults to $ so changing it to £ is necessary The support were understanding but it didn't get around the fact that it didn't work for us.
Unfair Pricing Policy
Be very careful of this companies pricing policy. They don't lock you in one financial year at a time like Caseware or other software providers or monthly with a 30 day exit like Xero or QBO but rather a rolling 12 month exit. So when you want to leave you are always locked in for a future year. During this year they will also arbitrarily raise their prices saying you are forced to stay and also forced to pay 7% more for the software. Software is not bad but not the best either, but the shark-like tactics they use to try and lock in firms and make them 'stickier' clients are truly obnoxious. Have advised numerous firms starting up to avoid them and will continue to do so.
