Buying a Dream Machine Pro from UI.com
I just bought a Dream Machine Pro from Ubiquiti, and the process from buying to delivery was perfect (4 days from placing the ordre, to the UPS driver delivered it to my door). Setup was easy via the Unifi-network app to iPhone, the only thing you need to do (before powering on the machine) is to connect the cables (incl. your internet connection). Happy days! :-)
Good UX and equipment
Just upgraded my residential network to all UniFi gear. Gateway, APs, NVR, and couple of cameras. My WiFi is amazingly reliable. I'm very satisfied with the camera quality and app experience. And they have a decent release schedule with pretty quick turnarounds for issues. Sure, they aren't perfect, but they have demonstrated that they actually care about UX and making quality products. This is far better than anything I've ever had previously over the years. I know I might not be a power users, and I've seen issues on the community pages for releases. But I would recommend their gear for most prosumer type folks who want to tinker and get their hands dirty. Especially to those looking to move beyond TP Link or their fiber/cable providers out of the box solutions. Especially if you are concerned with tracking and privacy.
