Why I Chose a DBA with Upgrad and Golden Gate University

I had been contemplating pursuing doctoral studies, but the cost of the programs was a significant barrier. While exploring options in Europe, I discovered Upgrad and their Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) program in partnership with the 125-year-old Golden Gate University, California. After researching, I found the program to be accredited, reputable, and aligned with my career goals. Connecting with my Admissions Advisor, Saurav Mishra, made the decision straightforward. Saurav patiently explained the pros and cons while helping me understand how this DBA would build on my existing knowledge and elevate my aspirations to become a world-class business consultant. I am thrilled with my decision to pursue the DBA through Upgrad. The prep sessions and onboarding materials have been comprehensive and extremely useful. Lack of timely support.

I am in the autism spectrum and I had been up front about this and the fact that I could do really well in a supportive environment as I had graduated with excellent grades almost 20 years earlier for an MBA. Hello, I just want to explain my experience with Upgrad and Edgewood University. It's been quite difficult since I started. It's been 20 years since I was in school and submitting papers. My own papers from then, they looked alien to me! There's a lot involved in submitting a paper, especially at a doctorate level. So, I'm speaking about the DBA program at Edgewood University, which Is affiliated with upgrad.com. My initial onboarding experience was very positive and enticing. When I first started and I'd had been promised a lot of support - not there in the end when I really needed it! 💔 Being currently enrolled, it's a very difficult situation for me, and when you're working and you're getting support from overseas, its very challenging. This support, despite what was promised, well they can never seem to time it during the time that you are not at work. I arrive home fairly early, around 2 pm. But unfortunately I learned that noone can actually help me then. So, getting through assignments that are complicated and knowing how to submit papers is very difficult process. I went through the first course and didn't do a good paper, got started immediately in the next course, learned later I had failed the first one. On several occasions, humbly begged for assistance to get through for the make up period. I can still pass the first course if Upgrad steps in immediately. So far, only hearing 'crickets.' Noone got back to me. In the second course I had hoped I'd get more support from the team, but that was forthcoming. Promises not kept, no explanations provided. Normal and expected in a business setting, right? So it has been unfortunate up to now. We just kept missing each other. Sometimes it was them missing me, and sometimes it was me missing them. Lately, when it really counted, it was them missing me. The result is, it feels like an expensive mistake. However I'm still plugging away going through and hoping that I do well at the end. So far, I'm not scoring so well, but with the right supportive atmosphere around me, I could probably do really well at this because I achieved very high grades when I did my MBA and I was also nominated valedictorian. That is as fair an assessment as I can provide right now. The program has a lot going for it but I need immediate and timely help as I work during the day. I hope someone from Upgrad steps up as they have fallen short so far but I believe they are really good people at heart. Good luck! Thank you.
