Best software router out there if you like a professional CLI, rock solid stability and loads of enterprise features.
Professional, Friendly and Reliable
Vyos is a fantastic, performance router. Quick and easy to setup with the basics, but enough features to make it the sort of router you could run an ISP off easily (and I know people who have done just that) I use at home in a Virtual Router and I find it performs amazingly. No longer do we have to reboot the router at home to fix odd issues, because we don't have any. Vyos is an excellent tool not just for being a great router, but also to use for learning and teaching people the basics of routing. It's got built-in support for all the major useful VPN protocols, and the 1.4 builds have introduced support for Containers based on Podman. This allows you the flexibility to add interesting services/features to your router as required in a simple, secure and reproducible manner. Finally the Vyos Slack is full of helpful, friendly knowledgeable people. The forums are great as well. Vyos is my go to tool when I need a router or a VPN terminator etc. Professional, friendly and reliable. That's Vyos.

The best router you can get. I am a network administrator and we have been using the vyos router for over 7 years. It is our main router to do NAT on the eduroam wifi network and it has proven to be stable and solid as a rock. We have now gone from a single vyos to a couple of vyos routers in HA. Vyos has a really good CLI, easy to copy and clone configurations, runs in virtual so it allows you to have a test environment,... Best choice you can make.
