Excruciatingly lengthy and inflexible process, really annoying for the referees and results in referees not bothering, making would-be employees not meet the strict minimum references requirements

The T&Cs, you MUST agree to to give a reference, permit Xref to redistribute your private information to any third parties of their choosing - including many overseas entities (this includes Facebook, Microsoft, Google, LinkedIn and Amazon). Your agreement is required to submit a reference through Xref and is written to imply that the former employee’s job prospects may be negatively impacted should you choose not to accept their terms - beware!
