MyComputerCareer: The $113M EdTech Bet on Bootcamp Education
Inside a 649-employee empire betting everything on vocational tech training
While Silicon Valley chases AI unicorns, Tony Galati built a $113M revenue machine in Arlington, VA, teaching people to code from scratch. With 649 employees and 280K monthly visitors, MyComputerCareer isn't just an EdTech player—it's a vocational education empire that's scaling while most bootcamps struggle.
"In a market where most bootcamps fight for survival, MyComputerCareer scaled to $113M revenue—proving vocational tech education can be a massive business."
The Student Acquisition Engine
With 280K monthly visitors, MyComputerCareer has cracked the code on lead generation for technical education. Unlike traditional universities relying on brand prestige, they've built a sophisticated SEO and content machine that captures students actively searching for career changes. Their 12,779 backlinks suggest a content strategy that goes beyond surface-level blog posts—they're targeting specific technical keywords that convert browsers into applicants.
The Growth Paradox
Here's the contradiction: 2.6/5 on Trustpilot with only 5 reviews. This screams either a deliberate review suppression strategy or a product that polarizes. Most successful EdTech companies maintain 4.5+ ratings with hundreds of reviews. MyComputerCareer's low rating with minimal reviews suggests they're either not prioritizing social proof or their student outcomes are inconsistent—a red flag for investors but potentially a reality of vocational education where not every student lands a dream job.
The tech stack reveals a company optimizing for performance and conversion. Core-js and Tailwind CSS suggest modern frontend development, while Cloudflare provides enterprise-grade infrastructure. The use of Priority Hints and Lazy Loading indicates they're obsessing over page load times—a critical factor when every second of delay can cost a potential student. This isn't a legacy institution; it's a digitally-native education company built for scale.
- Tony Galati (Founder/CEO) leads a 649-person operation from Arlington, VA
- Multi-campus model with dedicated Career Services Director (Eddie Onuska)
- Focus on practical tech skills over theoretical computer science
- Built-in job placement support as a core differentiator
The Uncomfortable Truth About EdTech Scale
MyComputerCareer proves vocational education can be a $100M+ business, but the 2.6/5 rating reveals the fundamental tension in EdTech: scaling quality education is brutally hard. For investors, this is a case study in market capture over perfection. For founders, it's proof that solving real career problems beats building perfect products.

Cyber Warrior Program
I'm recently attending the Cyber Warrior program with IND. I'm only giving them 2 stars because the course is tiring and they have poor communication between different departments. I would like to start off that I am a veteran and a recent graduate of college and I thought it would be good to add certifications on top of my degree , however they call you constantly and bum rush you with emails. With my Financial person she asked for me to upload personal, AKA My Social and Court documentation , just really sensitive information to prove my name change when I previously uploaded my marriage certificate which should have been enough. I became really irritated with this .Even the lesson they force you to be in front of the camera for 4 hours Monday through Thursdays and only give you 10 min breaks in between. If you miss one class, there is no making up . They PowerPoint you to death and some of the labs that are due that following week doesn't match exactly what you learn. I don't really like this way of teaching and the program is exhausting all together .
I went several years back and finished
I went several years back and finished. The instructor at that time seemed extremely intelligent at his trade and taught way above my head. I spent over $25,000.00 and have nothing to show for it but a piece of paper. So I thought I'd go back and go thru again but I can get anyone o talk to me. Don't waste your money or time. They may could have placed me in a job but I just don't know enough and my confidence level in IT work is zero. I seriously tried and went to the instructor on several occasions and asked for assistance but he offered nine.
Did the bare minimum to not get sued…
Did the bare minimum to not get sued and be accredited . I’ve really been reaching out to try and sort this out . Every single person I talk to tells me different info. I worked very hard , and I’m stuck here with 25k in debt , and no job. I had to fight MCC tooth and nail just to take the tests I studied for. There’s no time in between classes to take cert tests . So you’ll find yourself cramming it all in at once, which is by design. Please don’t make the mistake of giving this “school” your money . They will screw you over. No communication with students . They fight you every step of the way to not pay for the certification tests ( the only ones that matter ) according to Kelly from Mcc, “ tuition isn’t a part of paying for the tests “ and fought me every step of the way . I had to call the Vp of the school Just to be able to sign up for my tests . They have predatory loans . I had an 1200$ loan , missed a few payments. Now they want 9k or I can’t finish the school. That’s over35 k . Again I’m left with 35k in debt , no degree . And barely any help finding a job . STAY AWAY AND BEWARE . DONT MAKE MY MISTAKE AND TRUST MCC WITH YOUR EDUCATION, MONEY, OR YOUR TIME.
Took advantage of my veteran benefits
Took advantage of my veteran benefits, and was eager, and happy to sign up for the program but afterward it was like purchasing a car from a shady dealership. Once I was in the program, I reached out several times to get help and not one phone call back or email. The online class was not helpful as the speed was at a light-speed pace. Either you get the information or you don't. Reached out again in January to try to get on-campus help and once again no answer. The information given does not account for the thousand variables on the Comptia tests you take. The material is good for someone who has a computer background but not for someone foreign to the computer world. Those who are not in career services act like they are nurses during COVID-19, and had to beg for transcripts that they took their home sweet time in doing so. Safe your benefits for a program that values you.
Stop drop and research
They will tell you u dont need experience it's not true this is a for profit school I regret going 22000 dollars and was only able to get 1 cert it is extremely fast paced and really hard they give u 1 day to drop out and that day u still are not clear on what exactly you will b learning research before u start they have u come tour and that same day u will b inrolled and approved for 22000 dollars of gov and personal student loans
